WX Advantage Weather Radar!

Featured Replies

Will it be placed into the virtual cockpit of all the Milviz products like the 737 and b55?

I know it works in VC in some of the Milviz a/c, but can not remember which ones off the top of my head.  I think it does in the b55 now. Quote from REX on the AVSIM FOURMS "We have completed the API for aircraft developers and will be contacting them as soon as possible. Also, feel free to contact your favorite AC developer and inquire about the integration. "

It is already.

Yes it is out..  Launched Yesterday.

Rex really isn't in a position to integrate the gauge into existing VC cockpits made by other developers. To do that, requires access to the original panel model files and artwork.   Integration in

You wont believe how easy it is to install or uninstall this product - if this is your thing you will enjoy this

Hi guys!

I followed closely the recommandations to install it. Works fine for me in my P3D V3 install! In my FSX-SE I get the error message"MV_WX.dll incompatible with this simulator". In FSX Steam does anybody get that?

Not only is the WX Advantage Radar compatible with FSX, FSX:Steam and Prepar3D, it is also compatible with ALL payware and freeware weather engines as well as payware and freeware aircraft! Each license of the WX Advantage Radar allows activation for all three flight simulators.

As long as you use the 2D panel, it is not compatible (yet) with payware VC's

If I knew for sure that RealAir would integrate this into their Duke in a timely manner I would buy it.

That's my conundrum, buy it now at a cheaper price, but without confirmation that other developers will jump on board, or wait to see if that happens, but potentially pay more. I'm not interested in using it as a 2d pop up. It would have been nice of other third party integration was settled before release.

The product, like all 2d gauges can, if you wish (and know how) be made to fit in ANY 3d part of an aircraft... just like any RXP gauge.

However, for full 3D integration, devs will have to take part.  So, contact your dev and ask them to be a part of this...

We will be doing the same.

Your Steam needs to be the absolute latest (just like P3D 3)

If you can do it with the RXP, you can do it with this.

I would like to know how.

Integrating any 3rd party gauge like this into a VC cockpit requires that the cockpit panel graphics be re-worked with 3D modeling tools to make the new gauge seamlessly fit into the existing VC. That is something that can really only be done properly by the original developer of the panel artwork, or by someone who has the necessary 3D graphics tools, and the knowledge of how to use them. It is not something that REX can do with a universal installer.

That said, if this new radar is as good as it appears to be, I would think that many add-on developers will offer updates to integrate it into existing VC cockpits of their products, just as they did with the very popular Flight1 GTN750 / 650.
