  • Hehe, we see this very regularly when an update to X-Plane comes out.   People are seeing all sorts of things (framerate better/worse, clouds nicer/horrible, autogen better/worse). The mind is easil

  • Sorry, but I am absolutely sure, you are NOT looking at default autogen here, but instead at some other add-on scenery (w2xp, osm2xp or hand made). The buildings are too specific (they are models of m

Already frustrated again ?

Yes! I want to fire up the installer every day and get a new beta! Daily!!!

But honestly, if the beacon light bug gets fixed, this beta is the best release of X-Plane ever.

Very true, I think XP looks awesome with the latest beta.

From Ben at the dev blog :

That “mid next week” estimate was too optimistic. Jennifer is back and is testing the product, but two things moved beta three back:
1. It became clear that she has a LOT to test and we’ll all be better off doing it right and
2. Additional bugs have come in since Sunday.

At this point I do expect to have beta 3 posted, possibly Friday, possibly Saturday. Possibly neither of those days – these things are highly unpredictable.

Unpredictable is the keyword here ;)

Only 25MB, downloaded and installed. Thanks for the update and thanks Ben and team.

Unfortunately it crashes with

Failed to open Resources/default scenery/sim objects/apt_vehicles/pushback/Tug_GT110.obj: the file cannot be opened.
0:02:55.230 E/SYS: +-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
0:02:55.230 E/SYS: | Could not open traffic object!
0:02:55.230 E/SYS: | lib/airport/vehicles/pushback/tug.obj
0:02:55.230 E/SYS: |
0:02:55.230 E/SYS: |
0:02:55.230 E/SYS: | (traf_main.cpp:192)

Which makes sense because I have no more Resources/default scenery/sim objects/apt_vehicles folder :-)

Does anyone see this folder disappear like me?

Hans

Same here.....Do not update to B3!!

Interesting, just compared with 10.45 and there is no such directory either. The tug.obj comes with different add-on airports and X-Life. Maybe an incompatibility with the latter? But why does it search for an object in a standard folder which doesn't exist?.

Hans

Maybe this is a new folder ? apt_vehicles is missing in my 10.45 and previous 10.50 beta's, but they work nevertheless.

Sorry for posting before testing.

I get the same error, bug is filed.

I think this beta may be dead.
