When you are not flying a desk you seem to be very proficient in mathematics history which owes you another hat :-)

Thx :-)

As a sidenote: There was a recent movie on Ramanujan "The Man Who Knew Infinity" well worth seeing. It includes the famous taxi phrase (which I am sure The Uninstaller knew before, though ).

Kind regards, Michael

Well, that's great to know. I've seen another movie, some two years ago, based also on his life, but this looks like a new one! I never go to the cinema, well, maybe once every two years ....

I knew this and other interesting stories since my times at the university. I am actually a mathematician IRL, working in the meteorology "branch", but still, a mathematician :-)

  • Hehe, we see this very regularly when an update to X-Plane comes out.   People are seeing all sorts of things (framerate better/worse, clouds nicer/horrible, autogen better/worse). The mind is easil

  • Sorry, but I am absolutely sure, you are NOT looking at default autogen here, but instead at some other add-on scenery (w2xp, osm2xp or hand made). The buildings are too specific (they are models of m

Well, you can only be patient for - a coupe of years - before it gets to you, I guess.

Same feeling here.

Yep, basically that's been the story since Friday.

And what's your point exactly ? The blog entry Mario points out explains the unpredactibility of a real release vs projected release.

And they didn't promise it for the beginning of the week either, that's your own fake prediction that did raise a few false hopes.

Actually Ben did say it's gonna be Monday or Tuesday, you may look it up.

My point, well, basically this post was based on excitement. That it's finally gonna happen - that Laminar will fix the broken ATC / traffic system years after users have paid for a full priced release (which advertised working ATC / traffic). Sounds cynical?

Don't get me wrong - I believe in X-Plane and Laminar's mode of operation. I ain't mad. However, being an X-Plane user is a sometimes painful practice of patience. And sometime that gets to you. I have been investing in X-Plane for years, but god I never expected some issues to take forever to get addressed.

Cool down guys, seems like miss anxiety is taking over.

It's been a long while since I felt so much XPlane anxiety like I'm been feeling it these past few days because 10.50, I really hope it was worth it...then again, I'm sure it will be.

To me, there's not even a consideration of worth.  I currently enjoy X-Plane more than I do any other platform, and as long as they don't make anything worse, I'm simply happy for anything that will increase my enjoyment.

On a side note, if I can find the time somewhere, I now have to add another project to my list: creating a static GA library full of C- repaints to show up for all my little Canadian airports. I don't know if I have the skill or time for that one, however...

If you go run the update you will see 10.5 beta is now out.

Thanks, downloading already. Really curious to see what they did with that autogen and ATC.
