New ORBX library file released that fixes Migration issues with new Central version also released

Jim Thought I read somewhere on the ftx forum is to uninstall the the area your having issues completely making sure you remove any left over folders etc and do a reinstall of it seems to fix the issues for some users anyway

Thanks Peter but I have always used the FTX uninstaller, then checked to make sure all folders deleted then I ran a registry cleaner.  Holger is checking it out in the FTX Compatibility Forum and I did see where I still had the KBUR airport enabled in MyTraffic.  Disabled that and still have the issues.  If I disable FTX, all is normal at KBUR.

I have my P3D settings for FTX as shown in their manual  I also do not use tweaks and nasty stuff like that.  I suspect it is part of the compatibility issues with FSDT KLAS and KLAX I had to make to get those products compatible.  I glad I'm computer literate.  I feel sorry for those who are not and expect to just install a product and it works.

No issues.  FTX Central asked to update, then I downloaded new libraries.  Looking forward to part 2 of NA OLC

I have Australia SP4 installed and that works well so I guess I have to accept that I can no longer use Europe or any future new releases.

That is disappointing and even more disappointing is the attitude of the Orbx team.

why? what did they say when you posted your problem on their tech support forum? you do know that they probably aren't reading this thread yes?

cheers

Judging by the responses from Orbx staff over there I think I am more likely some help here but thanks for the heads up because who knows what forum does what around here? I am not very computer literate and I am not going to uninstall, reinstall, uninstall again, remove shaders etc because I do not know what I am doing and I doubt anyone is going to come over to put things right for me again afterwards.

I would just like it to work so I can use what I have paid for and which worked well before. Not too much to ask for surely?

Hi, would it be a way to know the number of users that have problems with this ORBX's migration process?. Seems that many are Ok, and many have trouble...

Cheers, Ed

in john venema's update before the patches went out he said 1-2% of 8000 users. so 80-160 i guess. i think it might be higher.. i kind of get the impression they are basing those numbers off of people who requested support and it may be possible there are others with variations on the problems that haven't been investigated through official channels yet (such as mr. engwarda's situation above).

good luck to everyone who is still having troubles

cheers

Well done,

Everything works crisply, beautifully and completely everywhere I tested. Have not flown everywhere, but each place I have is near perfection.

I figured they would get it sooner or later.

Kind regards
