The World Baseball Classic will be held once again in 2017 (this time in Los Angeles) and will feature top professional players from 16 counties. All the players from the U.S. in the past have been form MLB and most of the Canadians were also. The series started in 2006 and Japan leads with 2 wins and 1 third, followed by the Dominican Republic, South Korea, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. It will be interesting to see what happens next year. Not only that, but those records are only for the "new" competition started in 2006, but this is only after it merged/fused. The baseball world cup goes way back to 1938...

November 5, 20169 yr Must be something about Chicago right now because New Zealand All Blacks just played Ireland at Soldier Field in Chicago and Ireland beat the All Blacks in a First Test Win for the first time in over a century, another century in the making in one weekend. This match was meant to bring Rugby to America to help build the sport but I don't think it worked this time due to the Cubs win. Bad timing for Rugby.
