I didn't find how to place my aircraft at a given altitude.
 
In the previous versions one could place the aircraft by geographical coordinates ( Lat / Lon ) and altitude ( and speed and heading too ). How can this ( if it can ) be done in XP11 ?

 

I think you just have to click your own aircraft on the map display to popup controls, then you can change alt/hdg/spd with the dials.

Will my ELITE GNS 650 / 750 HW module be able to control your GNS for X-Plane ? Will a driver be available from RXP ?

 

 

Did an owner of Reality XP's GTN 750/650 try it yet in XP11? I understand that Reality XP committed to deliver a free update (after the Beta I reckon) but wonder if someone tried the current version with XP11.

There are a couple minor issues with the beta (menus glitch, and internal dataref behaviour change) which are being worked on for the XP11 compatible version, but it seems to be working pretty much as-is.

Ok, was afraid of renaming the .exe files, but I'll give it a try.

The various versions of DCS all have the same exe file name. Here's an discussion of using nVidia Inspector with different absolute folder paths:

By the way, even I am currently flying in Prepar3D instead of X-Plane. It's so relaxing when I don't know the internals of a sim, but just simply USE it. (And to be honest, P3D + OrbX + the A2A Comanche 250 + myself could have a very long relationship. Of course X-Plane will still be my number one ).

Does anyone know how to remove the "shimmering" in the scenery? Slider is all the way to the right. Does xp11 need some nvidia settings?

No ORBX or aircraft add-on beats the thrill of IL-2 Sturmovik or DCS World.... but I feel so bad with my conscience playing this air combat sims that I have to have a civil one to play from time to time, and XP11, together with my good old ( and getting better ) ELITE are my choices right now...

 

At least in XP I have a lot of potential and many features in this new version that are appealing to me, and Austin mentioned a reworked free-running turboprop model and also some changes to the jet turbines, so, I am looking forward into it :-)

 

The uninstallit-is has been cured, otherwise DCS and IL" wouldn't have survived for such a long period ( more than 6 months already, and playing both almost every day !!! I've turned into a ww2 air combat addict, and I also LOVE those DCS helicopters FDM... )

 

But the new look of XP11 has conquered me since I installed the demo a few days ago. The ATC interface is very easy to use and it's more than sufficient for me right now. I also like to see the populated airfields, at least in the demo region.
