November 29, 20169 yr I tried PAKT and PAJN and Alaska has land in these areas. Me too...just did a complete INSTALL WORLD. Here are those two sites: I just tried another Alaska site...and it said that I'd only see water, would I like to install the scenery? Well..I had just finished installing the whole world from Laminar's servers. They do NOT have the whole world up on their server for XP11. Parts of Alaska are not within the download server database. What's up with this?!?!?

According to info on the .org, they are not currently including anything above 60 degrees North, because they're trying to figure out how to make the whole installation fit on a DVD. Both PAKT and PAJN are below 60 degrees, which is why they're showing terrain. They might cut the tiles just to include Alaska and places like Norway (another problem!) and leave out Siberia. I think a better move is just to let people download the 60+ files from the server after buying the program. You don't need any of this if you use the free, higher-res HD scenery mesh for those areas, but Laminar will still need to figure out how to solve this for default scenery. November 29, 20169 yr Ok, activated my copy of XP11 and installed Europe and Western USA. Other regions will follow. Performance is even better ( maybe due to yesterday's patch ? ) I am really enjoying XP11 - LPPT was filled with aircraft at their parking slots, and the scenery looks a lot more realistic than in XP10 in Lisbon town and surrounding areas. I thought I read somewhere, that all custom airports should be higher than that default Global Airport folder...right?

There's an option named "Update the X-Plane 11 Demo", of course you must have "check for new betas" checked. Then you pick your X-Plane 11 folder (if it hasn't by itself) and it will scan the files and only download those that need updating.
