January 21, 20179 yr PMDG have been extremely secretive about some big feature they have planned. I have given a name to the secret project, Project Oleo. Anyone care to guess what Project Oleo is, whilst we wait? Brian Nellis
January 21, 20179 yr What's this?? Isn't 'Oleo' a type of strut used on landing gear? Ian R Tyldesley
January 21, 20179 yr If you dont give us any more hints.... All I can think is olive oil. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z2zZS5hqIkc
January 21, 20179 yr Link to source? If it's a feature, I'd guess it may be their first step into true multi-crew atmosphere in the sim. One can dream..
January 21, 20179 yr Author RSR's last comment in the below link. Yes, Oleo, or oleo strut has to do with the landing gear... good work. I call it Project Oleo, because I like the word... no other reason http://www.avsim.com/topic/495787-01oct16-pmdg-747-400-queen-of-the-skies-ii-is-moving-to-beta-testing/page-1 Brian Nellis
January 21, 20179 yr Oleo? It's like butter... Yeah, maybe a 787? If so, that may not be until 2018...
January 21, 20179 yr My guess is the 747 is the fabled FSX/P3D to X-Plane port. We already know the DC-6 was the XP to FSX/P3D port Jason E Row Follow me on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/JasonRowPhotography
January 21, 20179 yr http://www.avsim.com...-testing/page-1 Thanks. Well, that doesn't sound anything like shared cockpit so I redact my previous guess. Maybe something along the lines of VATSIM/IVAO integration in the CDU?
January 21, 20179 yr Qualitywings Not the same as PMDG Mike Avallone [email protected],Corsair H115i cooler,ASUS 2080TI,GSkill 32GB pc3600 ram, 2 WD black NVME ssd drives, ASUS maximus hero MB
January 21, 20179 yr Not the same as PMDG Would you rather have another 787, that yes may be better, or an aircraft that hasn't been done. The QW 787 looks to be good enough quality. Joe Colehouse
January 21, 20179 yr My guess is CPDLC for swift plus an on board EFB from Aivlasoft. With UGCX we then nearly have the real world! Cheers, Richard Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.2 GHz, 16 GB memory, 1 TB SSD, GTX 1080 Ti, 28" 4K display Win10-64, P3Dv5, PMDG 748 & 777, Milviz KA350i, ASP3D, vPilot, Navigraph, PFPX, ChasePlane, Orbx
January 21, 20179 yr His words are very specific. "Additionally we have a few things buried in this build that we will unveil at a later date... that will truly blow your mind." Burried in this build...means it is part of the 747 so forget about 757, 767, 787. I think shared cockpit is probably the best bet as this would be something you would code in and then reveal later once perfected. Also keep in mind the last time there was something extra is was actually outside of the sim....the OC. Mark CYYZ
