maybe yours but not mine.  VR peachy until you actually try use keyboards and mice.  It'll be many years until the average person will can afford what ever solution they have to those problems.  Good luck.

Thanks, I am enjoying it. Some people are still flying Fs9 but some of us move on and embrace new technology.

As for the keyboard and mouse, I use voice activation for all my controls when in VR.

As if our wives didn't laugh at us enough, now where expected to sit at our desks with some silly thing on our heads holding some plastic business in our hands?  Come on please, focus on real needs like updates to ATC, airspace, and reoccurring database updates.

Aye, brother, so sayeth this married man.

Nah, not for alot of us.  TIR works just fine.  And, yeah, good luck with the keyboard/mouse, even if you have HOTAS like I do, I still need that pesky keyboard.

I wonder how long it would take to build a flight plan or build an approach using an FMS or GPS interface using the headgear VR and a virtual gripper thingy? LOL...a whole lot of curse words I bet too.

I plan all fights ahead of time before going into VR.

When you are looking at that wide, spacious cockpit on your flat monitor you don't realize how cramped and small it really is until you put on a VR headset and really sit in it.

When your taxing your nose high tail dragger open cockpit biplane and cannot see the taxi way in front you  I will think of you when I lean out of the cockpit side to view the way ahead.

Sure it is not for everyone but when Bill Lyons and I were making planes 20 years ago with 3d virtual cockpits all the 2d panel cockpit guys had a good laugh.

My wife would commit me to the looney bin.  I already get enough word not allowed from her for just wearing a headset.

My wife would commit me to the looney bin....

Oh, I don't know, it's not so bad here, at least in the common area now that they untie my arms on a regular basis.

Once they realized that my arms outstretched simulated wings and lowered the sound of my lip driven engine sounds they leave me alone...

Kind regards,

With out looney bins we would have never discovered lawyers and politicians. We would have no one to lead us!!

Funny my wife uses voice activation on me in real life. "Take out the trash" "Help with the dishes" and a hundred other commands:laugh: She never touches my mouse either! LOL
