There was a post here just a week or so ago where he hinted that a user here shouldn't look to go doing a fresh install quite yet as something may be around the corner. Not sure if that was a hint to 4.2, or just another update to 4.1 Building a full scale 737-800 Simulator running P3D v5.x 210 degree wrap around screen Jason Lohrenz (@lohrenz737) • Instagram photos and videos Lohrenz 737 Simulator Project (lohrenzsimulator.com)

February 10, 20188 yr For the Simmer ? Let me guess... .) New Helicopter Flight Dynamics, based on the extensive experience from the in-house knowledge ( it's LM after all behind this sim, and it's a Professional toy ! ) .) Finally fixed reciprocating prop model, such that now leaning gives FF reduction, not initially an increase, above 3000' .) New turboprop ( free-running at least ) modelling ( it's LM after all behind this sim, and it's a Professional toy ! ) .) Updated World navaids and airport database, including slopped runways ! Heck, even that FSW game did it ( less the sloped runways... present just in games like AEFS and X-Plane ) ! .) TrueSky-like skies graphics... Is that ( part of ) it ? These are 3 things that by spoiling the view or by introducing stutters result in immersion being lost. Improving what we have already is what I expect from a minor revision such as ver. 4.2. Other improvements such as sloping runways, new ATC engine or a new lighting model are major changes that should be kept for a major revision, e.g. ver. 5. I would add that nasty lighting bug that goes from darkness to bright day when you change the view angle. Best regards, Wanthuyr Filho Instagram: AeroTacto
February 10, 20188 yr The big one for me is the fix to the number of active add-on packages causing missing textures. It’s frustrating to finally be free of OOMs only to find that I still need to deactivate packages to avoid this new issue. I think it was mentioned somewhere this would be fixed in 4.2. Brian W KPAE
