Seems they published the FSX update and jumped right over here to monitor reactions.

Hopefully they understood the reactions of “don’t talk about FSX anymore please”

(at least not on the site supposedly about the new Sim)

In the second 8/8 Update, the MFS team stated:

The team is working hard to adjust the schedule to see what information we can share earlier than currently planned. In our August 15th update, we will provide more clarity on where we at in the process.

As for me I would love to see either some screenshots or videos of the Current State Sim. I would also like to know what non-photogrammetry areas will look like.

What do other members of the community think would be good for the MFS team to show us or provide information on?

I'd love to see some default areas...without photogram-whatever-its-called

But wait there's still nothing. Three updates of when in future there will be a schedule of future updates. Even Seinfeld episodes were not This ridiculous. Only thing different is there's no fake screenshot. Stop treating customers like kids.

I have to agree.

I want updates as much as the next person but if they’re going to be this full of nothing, it would be better to do them less frequently and actually include some substance and content.

Wow lol the fear mongering is quite amusing. Being irritated that the announcement was about FSX is one thing but extrapolating that it must adversely affect the development of 2020? Well that's just being paranoid.

Ace Combat 7 launched on two consoles and PC. Alongside it's launch, they managed to pack in ports of ace combat 5 and 6 for free with enhanced features to take advantage of the more powerful consoles. AC7 uses the unreal engine, while the older games used in-house engines. AC7 builds FROM the legacy of the previous games but on a completely different engine and platform.

I understand the confusion but I do think people are making way too much of this FSX update. They shifted the focus right back onto MSFS and it's only a week until things get rolling. Time to ease up a bit me thinks.

Seriously guys, what a bunch of entitled, little princesses you are.

I'm deeply sorry.  Please accept my apologies.

My deepest apologies to you sir

They should stop with the games and for once learn from Laminar, have a youtube live streamed QandA direct from the conference room. Then we can meet everybody on the project, get some proper answers to the Big questions and maybe get a tour of the studio.

FSX was an excellent sim for it's time.  That time is over.  I simply do not want to hear about a 14 year old sim.

I've had that thing uninstalled for a long time, and I would also be okay if it froze to death in a blizzard lol

On the other hand, there are those of us who are still using FSX that are happy MS is talking about it.  🙂

There are still people using FS2002.

They had that years ago on Channel 9 with videos of the studio, and interviews with the team.

lol -- Good point....

C'mon MS!  When is FS2002 going 64 bit already?

No need for sarcasm now.

I have you down as someone supportive of what MS are doing here and agree with you on many things you've said about MSFS. We are in August and things are getting serious next week and I'm not sure why this update on FSX is throwing so many off.
