What did Sebastian say in french at the end of the video?

He said to the director that he could cut the last part (“talk to you soon...etc”). It’s nice they left it in though.

Is this Icon plane by chance a waterplane? Looks to me like it could

It's an amphibian

I'm pretty amazed by to what lengths the developers are listening to the community. It's going to be very interesting to check out those feedback snapshots and the fact they're actually publishing those along with priorities and plans of action for each item is remarkable.

Fascinating to see a Frenchman speaking a foreign language so eloquently and getting his point across with words to spare.

Sebastian Wloch, the CEO of Asobo who did this presentation is not french. He is german.

Were all these four videos shown at the preview event? That might explain why we percieve them as being 'old'?

I'm pretty sure those videos were shown to the content creators in Seattle back in september, based on the comments they made back then. They said things/details we saw on those 3 videos so far.

I think the sliver of cockpit we can see looks okay compared to the real thing?  It's a little dim and doesn't visually "pop" like the above, but it's also in a simulator with realistic lighting... meaning depending on the location of the sun, and the weather outside, real life can indeed look pretty 'drab" sometimes.  Plus, you've also got factors like glare off the instrument panels "washing out" the digital displays.

Some of those panels also look like they may be a WIP still.

Another jaw-dropping episode...!

I appreciate the talented folks at Asobo are non-native English speakers, but I’m a little surprised at Microsoft not checking the presentation for blatant grammatical errors prior to publication (“aircrafts”?).

I encourage Asobo to continue making gramatical errors while creating this iconic MSFS version, rather then another team who writes perfect communication pieces but delivers a mediocre software. 🙂

The most important question still remains.......how fast and reliable do our internet connections need to be to see and feel all of this detail without interruptions?

They allready answered that many times.

I do not know at what stage the development of the 320 Neo is right now but I am not sure we can expect all the varied collection of aircraft they will deliver to have every system reproduced and functional as it should? It will be a revolution if they will!

Also, when MS signs agreements with Airbus and Boeing, I guess that it must have some limitations? Who knows, maybe the companies do not want all their systems to be there and reproduced as if they are meant for training... Just guessing.

I was impressed with the improvement of the aerodynamics and flight models and the attention to details in the environment and weather are superbe!

Yet the great news is that an early SDK version will be released this year. Hopefully not just for commercial 3rd party developers but to us too, freeware creators. In fact I was happy to learn about this new 3D format they mentioned. Sounds interesting:

About 20Mbps for full detail. It will scale down resolution from there of the streamed materials if you have a slower connection.

He said to the director... Why, oh why does Avsim think they can suck up their own names for the sim?

Then immediately after the cut he said "everyone on Avsim should be using ASMGSFS20 immediately" 🤣

Partnership can mean litteraly everything. It can range  from full support for developpement , from the plane geometry to the systems, and all the data you can think of. It can also mean a simple licensing to be able to use the company name and logo  ingame.

Let's hope that this can be maintained when tens of thousands of users are online at the same time. My connection is 50Mbps, but file download speeds from various locations can be a fraction of that at times.
