Milviz King Air is RELEASED

Im thinking about purchasing, but the not following the nav profile is concerning to me, especially after its been in dev so long. Can anyone make a quick video showing the aircraft following the nav properly?

1080Ti with no 3rd party shaders. I have tried with and without Vsync and it makes no difference. I get a flicker every 1-2 seconds

I've got a 1080Ti 11GB card as well. I have no idea what version it is using.

All I can add is that I've spent many, MANY days fully immersed in my modeling role and have never encountered any such flickers. I know that's not particularly helpful, but it's all I have to offer.

I use FSUIPC and the lowest value of my Saitek throttle leaves the throttle in IDLE but not the lower setting GND.

Try setting the lower throttle range as suggested in a post above and repeated below:

Regarding throttle reverse and beta range, here is something that works for me in another third party KA aircraft when using a Saitek yoke -- perhaps you can adapt it for your hardware and the KA350i. FSUIPC treats the bottom end of the throttle range as idle. So to 'trick' FSUIPC, you can edit the low end throttle axis calibration number in the FSUIPC.ini file to a value a little below the lowest the axis can actually achieve, eg use  -16400 if the lowest the axis can achieve is the typical -16384.  With the fictitious lower limit, FSUIPC never 'thinks' Idle is reached. Then under the FSUIPC Buttons and Switches tab I use the switch at the bottom of the Saitek throttle lever range to enter Reverse thrust with the F2 Throttle Decr command (with repeat), but do not use the F1 Throttle Cut command when moving the throttle lever out of Reverse thrust (I use nothing), because the Throttle Cut command makes the power lever in the VC jump over the beta range to Idle.

BTW, this idea of modifying the lower end of the throttle range was suggest by Pete Dowson a few years ago.

Hi Ark.

Thanks for the info. The F2 setup I already use and its only "ok" and really a temp solution only. Its not very precise and you end up in REV all the time.

Milviz confirmed they are working on that issue and plan to release a config for the axis via their windows interface tool. Hope it comes out fast, as many other users also want this feature.
Without it its very hard to control the throttle leaver properly.

Bye

Thanks Ryan. I will await some further input form users. Perhaps the others are having is caused by user error....

Fantastic bird MilViz. I am getting really bad flickering in the cockpit. I have tried all kinds of different display settings and nothing stops it. Anyway thank you and please enjoy some recovery time and Christmas.

Are you running Chaseplane. I seem to remember another release had the flickering problem for some. I am having a "senior moment" but I seem to recall there was a easy fix for it.

TBH, I am bit disapointed. After 6,5 years in the making and at that price point I expected a bit more. The documentation is lacking and i cannot get my saitek throttles to work properly etc.

But thats just my 2 cents.

Agreed.

Aircraft is phenomenal to fly, I just wish I knew how to do it "by the book" since there is next to no documentation. Been scouring the web for official sources but getting ahold of them is proving to be difficult. I feel as though a basic tutorial or manual outlining the FMS ops should have been included before releasing.

At this point all I can do is push buttons and hope they do what I think based upon knowledge from other aircraft.

Hi guys,

I understand some of you might feel dissapointed for the lack of detailed information on how different systems work.

To be honest, except for those sections not replicable in a simulated environment, the documentation we would have posted would have been exactly the same as the real aircraft's one.

As that was not possible because of copywright issues, we decided to prepare a set of different documents detailing as much as possible the most important sections : general setup - PL21 - FMS - etc. Unfortunately we couldn't finish them as fast as we had wished, and we apologize for that. We will start to post them in our support forum during the next weeks.

Even some descriptive videos will be coming on the next days. Stay tuned!.

Again, thanks for your patience..

Best regards

I can confirm I also have the flickering issue.

Did anyone watch the stream with the KA 350 pilot that pretty much raked the MilViz 350 over the coals? I can't find the full broadcast but he ran into a couple issues like this and apparently the numbers aren't remotely close to the book. Hopefully these issues get looked at. I've run into a couple of the same problems he did on his stream.

I did. Milviz should get in touch with that guy. Looks like there is a lot of work to do.
