What a bunch of BS. There are other sims out there whose market share is 1/3 Mac. There are simmers who like to fly helicopters. There are flight sims that in the last 6 months (since MFS was announced) have increased users by 30%.

Saying that MFS will bring many needed innovations and that it will get a big part, possibly most of, the total market share is one thing.

Saying (or hoping) that the competition will disappear is (other than stupid) quite shortsighted. I'm sorry for you, the competition will not disappear. ☺️ And that's a good thing for everyone, even for future MFS users.

After all, isn’t it you who listed the benefits of having the latest version of P3D? 
 

Hasn’t that been the history of flight sim? 
i remember being reluctant going from FS2002 to FS2004. 
The jump to FSX after FS9 was exciting and it was only a matter of time before developers left FS9 and concentrated on FSX. 
That shift also recently happened with X-plane and P3D with FSX now considered ‘old hat’. 
 

Everybody can see 2020 is light years ahead of the rest. So what is everybody's problem where the same thing will happen with developers jumping on the 2020 bandwagon?

Exactly and Austin has been in the business for 20+ years! Don't get me wrong there is a lot of cool tech in the new sim and I am looking fwd to RC, but it's not going to be the death nail in XP. 

Have you tried Xavion yet? It's absolutely brilliant and could be a lifesaver for real-world pilots!

A troglodyte is defined as " a person who is regarded as being deliberately word not allowed or old-fashioned. " You may be joking but why do you find it so difficult to accept not everyone shares your opinion? Software for FSX is still available and there is a FS9 sub-forum here so not everyone jumps onto the latest bandwagon.

I'd like to remind you that Microsoft's first flight sim was released 37 years ago. Clearly x-plane is not going to die, probably just become a niche sim like it was until x-plane 10, but age is not an argument that's going to work against Microsoft!
