February 3, 20206 yr Everyone here likes to speculate, and the only ones I'll listen to are the people that have used it during the press event, and have said, what you see in the videos, is what is in the simulator. Flightchops Novawings24 Belgeode Helisimmer Etc.

One thing I'd like to remind you all though, is that it's an ALPHA and definitely NOT the finished game. By that I mean you should lower your expectations (really) if you're picked up for testing." So it sounds like it has a long way to go. Maybe, but people also need to beware placing too much stock in unverifiable anecdotes like this, where they don't speak with any specificity about what they even mean. Maybe the alpha doesn't even include the "full" sim, but a thin vertical slice of it, and that's what they mean by lowering expectations. Maybe there's just lots of rough areas that are still clearly works in progress, etc. We just don't know, because all you're left with in this case, is three cryptic sentences.

It's OK for an Alpha to have problems. It's even expected. Most of those problems will be gone before the sim enters a beta phase. Mentioning the existence of problems isn't like calling your baby ugly, it's more like saying your baby seems a little short compared to an adult. "Well, yeah, what did you expect?" One person said the Alpha still had a long way to go. "Well, yeah, what did you expect?" Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

It's a big reason they don't want testers talking publicly about what they are seeing in the first place - because it may not be representative of the finished product, but they know the average prospective buyer may not make that distinction.
February 5, 20206 yr Is it predicated that 3rd party support will be quite awhile in coming at initial launch? I have so much invested in P3D I can't imagine shutting it down very quickly after MSFS releases. I do every single flight using FSCaptain and w/o it, or something very similar to it, my interest in flight simming could likely wane.
