February 24, 20206 yr Actually, his flat earth thoughts were just part of the hype for the show. if the flight had been a success, he was going to say that he changed his mind and that the earth was not flat. The real culprit here was the producer of the show.

Cheers, Rob. Don't even need to do that, you can literally just go up a few flights of stairs in a tall building and then look out of the window. When you observe that you can see further in every direction than you could when you were on the ground floor, geometrically, that's only possible if you are on the surface of a large sphere. Your story is better 😎 I've also heard Life On Mars was inspired by Comme d’habitude as well, it has similarities apparently. They are both great though but Life on Mars is one of his best in my POV Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

I like the idea of Bowie desperately writing some awful songs for a pittance, it's like the opening to some kind of Cinderella-esque movie. Another interesting bit to that tale is that apparently Sinatra didn't actually like My Way very much either, claiming it was a bit whiny and self indulgent lyrically, which I suppose it is really. Anyway, here is a fun thing which you can impress people with... There is actually a word for the act of nicking the tune of another song and putting new words to it - contrafactum. That's a good one to throw into the conversation when some muso is boring the @rse off you and you want to shut them up lol. February 25, 20206 yr Arguing with flat-earther is one of the most pointless things one can do. Science is all wrong, everything is CGI and they have an "answer" for absolutely everything - made up on the spot, usually. Can't win, never, ever. Tomaz Drnovsek My FSX Videos My AVSIM Gallery

Cheers, Rob. These "plate earthers" always have an excuse for that. They say that curvature of the earth seen on an airplane is just an optical illusion caused by an airplane window 😄 Edited February 25, 20206 yr by Branimir I7-10700 (4.8 GHz with HT enabled) 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC Gaming
