Anyway DX12 brings support for RTX extensions (ray tracing) and a host of other new hardware accelerated functions.

It’s a more capable graphics API than its predecessor.  I can’t imagine doing a modern flight simulator without using the latest graphics APIs 😉

Not if it produced a blurry mes within ten minutes into a flight, it wouldn't be....  That's why I'm back to my XP11.41 installation.  Yep..I got higher FPS...but with a fatal visual outcome.

Absolutely agree. Photorealistic underground + Autogen  works without stuttering and with better performance.

I also use the photorealistic USA and Europe. 

If v5 offers a photorealistic backing, then the P3D will live a long time. This is the best way of development. Everything else we already have.

I can not find photorealistic Croatia. This part is very lacking for me. Do you have it?

Honestly I am skeptic about P3D v5. Many of us would prefer to wait to MSFS 2020. Many of us know, the core of the P3D is that ancient FSX. I mean even in P3Dv4, LM didn't update any of the default airports, exactly the same as FSX. Not to forget the pain of managing P3D installation, another thing I am wondering when v5 beta goes out, how easy can migrate and test the add-ons. In XP11.50, it was so easy just matter of copy and paste sceneries/aircraft to the new beta installation. 

I hope Microsoft will bring us finally what we were looking for, from what I see MS understood the importance of the community and I am sure they will bring us finally a decent simulation. 

You and I and everyone else have no idea what there might be in P3D v5, so it is perhaps a bit early to start running it down. From what I read, the update to "XP11.50" is not without its trials either

The core of all Sims (except for XP) is FSX.

MSFS has not been developed from ZERO.

Well i've noticed on my new PC that turning on AutoSave in FSUIPC gives me regular pauses. Turned off and no more pauses. Haven't made any tweaks to the sim or the CPU cores. Just  a reminder of this old issue.

Regarding you : switch to MSFS2020 as you are totally sure of its quality.

I just read that the Tech Alpha from MSFS2020 brought up a lot of issues ...

I wish I had a quid for every time I've read this. FSUIPC Autosave is not responsible for the pauses. It calls the standard save command. How often was it saving the flight? I have mine set to 3 mins and no pauses.

Would p3d v5 release before ms2020 if so would the all the addon companies force us to pay for their products again?

I think it's safe to assume V5 will come out before MSFS. No one except devs who have V5 under NDA know what they'll do re: pricing.

I have no idea what MS has to do with anything in your question but this is something that you need to ask to each individual developer. In my case I am not planning to charge my customers for the next P3D version upgrade.
