I am very interested if this helps with vram management and VR in general.

Nothing to do with VRAM...

Hi all,

1.) Unlimited frames inside p3d and fftf value inside .cfg does not have any effect

2.) Unlimited frames inside p3d and fftf value from FSPS FFTF does not have any big effect at high frames but has an effect at blurries and very low frames.

To conclude, locked frames inside p3d and managed fftf value give you a more smooth without blurries flight experience while in most cases you can increase your p3d settings.

Regards,

Achilles

OK.  If I have to lock frames to make it work, can I lock it at 99 or 60 or any number besides "unlimited" and have the FFTF program work?

It appears so. Achilles actually suggested something really high like 120 in one of the earlier posts here.

Well then....that's encouraging.

Yes, 120, 60, 33, any number different from “unlimited” will trigger the FFTF.

I did many test like 2 years ago and if the FRL is set “unlimited” FFTF dynamic will not work. The escenario to confirm this:

Run p3d and Set FRL at unlimited. Choose F35 or any fighter available, And start flying at 1000ASL as fast as you can. Pause the sim and run FFTF Dynamic and set AGL from 0.50 to 0.70 and go back to the sim. Unpause and continue flying, you will notice the blurry terrain is appearing and the longer you fly it will get worse, FFTF dynamic is not working. Go back to the display setting and move the FPL slider from unlimited to 120, press ok and continue flying, you will notice the blurry terrain is gone.

Just tested it also, and 120 is a good number to set in P3D if you are limiting outside.

I just tried this, limiting frames to 29 in NCP with Vsync + triple buffering, with P3D frames set to 120. Definitely seems to be making better use of Core 0, (not always maxed at 100%). Thanks for the tip!

Hi, maybe i misunderstand something but how is this new procedure reacting to VSYNC ON ?

I still have a 25 HZ solution here

I actually have vsync off.

SimMarket sure is taking their sweet time...

Does anyone who bought previous FFTF versions from FSPS directly know if updates are deployed faster if you buy it through them? One thing I dislike about this program is that it breaks with every update to P3D. I'm wondering if it's worth forgoing the upgrade discount if one can get updates faster.

Updating can be done from the software interface for all of our software titles. The software itself indicates you that there is an available update and you simply update it.

It's no big deal to me but I purchased my original from FSPilotshop which is now closed. I just purchased from FSPS and saw no way to get any discount. Got it anyway. 🙂

I bought from FSPS some years ago... always quick updates once the app has been sorted and tested for P3D updates.  The app never causes any problems... it just works.  And works very well! 👍

True. That is not possible as the store database is not able to know if you got the v4 one
