A lot of people here already tried to enlighten others with official statements, but for some reason people keep bringing up the same subjects over and over, like that subscription thing. "Post launch charts service." I'm not saying the base sim will be a subscription. But this Charts+ thing looks like a product they'll release after launch of flightsim. Quite frankly a product which the end user will pay for (service). I'm not making wild claims here...typically a service is not free. June 25, 20205 yr Have to agree on the raindrops, they are poor and need addressing before release. Nice update on Navblue but the charts service available post launch is a tad suspect for a subscription fee. Edited June 25, 20205 yr by Carts85

People keep saying that, and no mention at all of that in the release, so I doubt it. where do you see “post launch service”? Edited June 25, 20205 yr by FishermanIvan
June 25, 20205 yr In the second video, did anyone else notice how the nose of the airplane jerked to the right on touchdown? In real life that is caused by landing with a side load...longitudinal axis not aligned with the direction of travel. Now if that is what was happening in that video, THAT's the way to model ground friction, folks! Chris

June 25, 20205 yr Has there been any indication how many FPS a 2080ti can achieve? I own the card, and there is no way i want to turn the details down on this game.

Yes that would be pretty cool however, I have noticed some of the earlier vids show a plane in flight and it sort of appeared to lurch or jerk on some outside views from the rear. It did not look like wind or turb. but it is way to early to tell or make a judgement. These little short clips can be hard to really understand what may be going on. It will depend highly on the resolution you're running. It was said that the RTX 2080 Ti cards used in the computers for the Global Preview event, back in September 2019, were outputting around 30-40 FPS at 4K. However that is an old build now, and there was no word on what graphics settings were being used. I'm afraid that's all the information we have outside the NDA for now.
June 25, 20205 yr We're good and still on track for the greatest Flight Simulator to date... Well done Asobo, well done MS...keep it coming.

Even people in the alpha can’t answer that. Until the sim has been through beta and been optimised we won’t know, however regards to FPS in general seems to be rather positive feedback.
June 25, 20205 yr I just wanted to take a moment and thank @ChaoticBeauty and the other community members that have brought the MSFS updates to Avsim. I'm a P3D user and am pretty active over there, but I'm mostly just a reader on the MSFS forum since I am not an alpha tester. That said, I visit this forum frequently to stay up to date and I'm excited by what I'm seeing. I appreciate the many contributors that have helped centralize all the information about MSFS. Avsim is better because of these contributions. So thanks! 5800X3D | Radeon RX 6900XT

While core nav data and basic charts might be included for free as part of the base sim, the “plus” might very well indicate that a fuller range of charts will be available as optional DLC, and if there is a subscription, it might be with NavBlue directly, not with Microsoft. This is still alpha, it's likely Asobo is simply using a static seed for the RNG of the raindrop placement algorithm for consistent repeatable testing. I do this often when testing game functions with random number generators. I don't think we have anything to worry about regarding the raindrop placement. 😉
June 25, 20205 yr 360p videos wow thats impressive, seriously what is going on here. Maybe they are lowering the expectations for people with only 16gb of ram. Edited June 25, 20205 yr by OHN767
