What's your average CPU/GPU temp range in P3D v5?

Featured Replies

For my CPU I notice that I get around 68-85 but it usually sits in the 70's. and my GPU is 73-75. Is this bad?

Cleaning out your PC of all the dust and dirt can make a big difference.  I was sitting at 36c on average while idling (not with P3D running mind you).  Went through a major "clean out" of all fans, inside and out and now I am at 29c!   Every degree helps when simming.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Core i9-9900K @ 5.00 MHz

Max CPU temp is 59° (2 hours into a flight) with most sliders maxed..

Sitting at around 48-50° average.

Using a water cooler and an extra large radiator fan.

I live in Scotland so the ambient temp is on the chilly side.

Those temps are fine. Don't worry about it. If you see 90+ then worry........Doug

That depends on the wheather, but normaly not very high, i have watercooling on my cpu, which is a i7 8700 clocked to 4,9 ghz and my gtx 1080ti is not very high in prepar3d.

CPU hoovers around 65-70c. GPU around 60c. Ambient temp is approx 25c during summertimes (second floor of a wooden house facing southwest. It gets hot!)

I had 70C with i7-7700 running at 4.2GHz. I have just bought an i7-10700 and I am waiting for the new motherboard to arrive. I am curious about temperatures with i7-10700. I saw videos that stock cooler can't keep up with this CPU under load. That's why I also ordered Arctic Freezer 34 CO. I have never had a custom cooler in my PCs before.

My GPU (RTX 2070 Super) runs at 60C

Ambient temperature is 24C.
