I am on the ground for 10 min looking at clouds at exact same place. i actually noticed some moving clouds last night while i was sitting on the run way. It wasnt on live weather though.

I don't think turbulent convective air is modelled, however. Quite fun to fly the Cub near mountains. I was flying up the valley past Lukla towards Everest, there's was small strip around 11000 feet, didn't think I'd have enough grunt to get up there and would have to circle and climb... Flew closer to the mountain side and started getting about 1,500 FPM climb, made it up there no problems. Would be interesting if the blue wind vectors (seen in one of the Asobo development videos) could be toggled on, just to understand (and appreciate) the flight / atmospherics modelling. 👍 Matthew S

Keep your Fake News behind your teeth... Have you watch the credits yet? Count the number of folks who've been working on this for the past six years. Hi. I think in one of the developer Q & A’s, it was either Asobo or Microsoft that implied MSFS would be a 10 year project. But this news that Asobo has a 10 year contractual commitment is news to me. Do you or does anybody else have a link to the source that states there was a 10 year contractual agreement signed? I am just curious myself and want to know more details about it, Thanks. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Even in areas where upper winds are currently working in Live Weather (like the UK), the weather engine might not model the extreme up and downdrafts to be found in a real cumulonimbus. I can confirm that in places where the wind is working, the effect is very noticeable. I did a flight earlier today in the UK using the 172 with gusty 45-50 knot winds at 6000 feet, and got the дерьмо kicked out of me. August 21, 20205 yr Reading over these posts makes we wonder if we're all flying the same sim! I hope at least everyone in multiplayer in the same area has the same conditions. I'm waiting for Active Sky myself. The use their own weather sources. And it's nice to be able to use historical weather occasionally. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! Probably not going to happen though because could you imagine all the armchair experts that would come out of the woodwork saying how wrong their modelling is. Yes I did a flight from EGOV across to Humberside yesterday in the DA40 at 6000’ and it was incredible. Initially had 45 knots on the starboard beam and departing over the hills just east of EGOV was a very interesting and lively experience. Had turbulence, mechanical turbulence, cloud and rain showers. I was surprised how well the DA40s autopilot handled the trip. August 22, 20205 yr I also have 0 turbulence in clouds but amazing turbulence when passing over mountains.
