If this is the patch, I'm not buying when the 1€ gamepass ends. As time passes the price of the sim will also go down, it's a win win for me.

Very good news that they'll take a year to do helicopters, and I'm even glad it will be a payware pack. I was worried they might just push out some FSX ports and call it done, but it sounds like they're serious about it.

Because at the very least we were owed an explanation at release...that's why. The communication thus far has left a rather sour taste as far as I'm concerned.

Actually there is now some doubt that XBox X will even be ready before Christmas because of logistical problems and parts shortages.

Brian, I remember when FSX was still in development several of the ACES developers would actually post here at AVSIM. Unfortunately the toxicity levels eventually drove them away entirely. Susan Ashlock was one of the ones who was the lead for gauge/systems development.

She was sweet enough to continue to assist me via email, so I felt obligated to share what I learned with fellow developers at FS Developer.

I would truly be upset were AVSIM's more outspoken denizens be the proximate cause of Asobo becoming less present here.

WoW Launch...man some of their bugs took months (The Paladin fix which nerfed them so hard the population revolted), The Gnome Warrior protest at how bad they were balanced, nevermind the servers just failing at a rapid pace and the introduction of maintenance Tuesdays just so they can have breathing room to manage things.  They had to pull the game because they couldn't cope with the loads and players got tons of free weeks and months of play times as a result.  And lagforge...but other than that the actual bug fixes and patched rolled out at about every two weeks until the end of the year then it slowed down and consolidated fixes.

This basically means something like the community gateway from XP. That in MSFS would be gold.

For those not familiar with the community gateway:

XP was famous for not providing 3D airports until a few years ago when they decided to let the community build those airports with onboard tools and objects, submit it to a community portal where it is reviewed by a mod team and then incorporated into the official sim for everyone.

Bill, is Asobo present in any shape or form here ? That is a scoop ! 

BTW there are a couple of the heinous type here, not more. The debates are often robust, rarely toxic.

Time to learn German to get the latest updates on the sim lol
