September 2, 20205 yr Was really hoping this patch would have been released quite a bit earlier, but at least it means that everyone should be able to play and enjoy the simulator now. That was the highest priority, and now that it's out of the way we can start looking forward to other improvements now.

September 2, 20205 yr Sim been out for 2 weeks only!! What exactly is “earlier” in your book?? Thomas Derbyshire

How do you know from a deep technical level what each of those fixes actually entails??? Sick of the constant doom merchants like yourself to be honest. To release a patch of any kind two weeks after release is bloody good going in my book!! Heh, they're being edgy over on the official forums too: Just stirring the pot I guess.

Absolutely brilliant work going on there. I think you are not a developer. If course, I can be wrong. But its multi platfrom game and multi store game. So two weeks is not bad, but its not very fast. It's quite normal cycle. Its ok to be not happy, but it does not mean anyone else could done it so much faster.

September 2, 20205 yr Well there you go, the mother of all patches. someone is probabably developing a weather program that works and some live traffic that works, it wil only cost us another 100$ or so.

September 2, 20205 yr For Steam users, your Content Manager in-game will show a 79GB+ update with a comment stating that you need to restart in order to update this...but when you restart the game nothing happens...still the same thing showing in the Content manager. Will wait it out a bit...but if i have to reinstall jusat to get this update...hehe, I wont be bothering with it. Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

To release a patch of any kind two weeks after release is bloody good going in my book!! 333 MB is actually a crazy amount of software code (like 5 million "words" minus all the packaging overhead). A 10 GB patch is providing new AV assets (textures, sound files, complex meshes, etc) rather than just bug fixes. TL;DR - I agree!

September 2, 20205 yr I just hope people realize that griping on Avsim won't get your sim fixed any faster. Believe me, it has been tried! ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
