Which third party aircraft are you all hoping for?

Featured Replies

DC3, 727, 737-200 & CRJ or ERJ regional jet. Probably no chance for the first three.

Boeing 777

Leprechaunlive has my upvote!   For me - the BN-2 Islander, specifically to re-create all the (FSX) fun of flying around the PNG area; for a long haul aircraft - it has to be the LH MD-80, though I wish it's price was less of a barrier!

Yep ... awesome for Island hopping ... and Viking started making them again a few years back so they are not out of place in a modern sim you can buy them new

A2A Aerostar 600, Bonanza, and Comanche.

MSFS

Helicopters, Definitely helicopters. Asap

TBM 900 , from Hotstart with their G1000, 350i with PL21 from Milviz , MJC Q400 , FSL 3XX , PMDG all , a very good B757 and A 300 330. AS CRJ

the only thing thats Flyable today is the C152 i dont fly any airliners or turboprops in this sim they looks great but the systems sucks.

For me it's the following;

DC-3
Beech 18
DHC-2 Beaver
DHC-3 Otter
DHC-6 Twin Otter
PC-6 Porter
And a few medium twin engine helicopters

I want 'em too, but Asobo said they'll probably arrive Summer 2021 as a payware package with several models. Fine by me, I want Asobo to take their time and do it right. Rotary wing is a completely different flight and systems model from fixed wing.

X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator on Windows 10
i7 6700 4.0 GHz, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1660 ti, 1920x1200 monitor

Well let's be realistic.

We will hopefully get a PMDG NG in a years time. FSL could be even longer who knows? Best to forget it.

So...Realistically and given MSFS strengths.

This looking the best bet. Anything good that can go 170kts+ I will look at.

I would also personally like to see a CJ4 or CCL upgraded to a really good state the mod for CJ4 is looking good. Big airliners are to far off to think about. P3D v5.1> will be for that. Unless the A320N work turns out well.

I hate, really hate saying this.....god I hate saying it.....bites lips...hard.

If AS bring out there version of the A320 it might be a good filler or even the CRJ. 🤪 😬 💥

Am off now to beat myself up....

Something with any of the following powerplants: Pratt & Whitney R-1340 Wasp, Pratt and Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp, Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior, Wright R-975 Whirlwind, or Wright R-1820 Cyclone. So that'd be stuff like the Trimotor, B-247, DC-2, DC-3, PBY, B-24, B-17, B-307, Electra, Hudson, CH-300, BT-9, Stearman M6 etc, lots of choices.

But I don't just want a lookalike - I can knock that up myself - I want the engines to be properly modeled in terms of how you look after them, i.e. I don't want to be able to ram the throttles to the firewall in all weathers and stages of flight, or shock-cool the living cr@p out of them, then not have them suffer any damage.

As I understand it, there is definitely a Boeing 247 on the way, allegedly with some sort of equivalent to A2A's Accu-Sim engine modeling, and if that transpires, it would add some much-needed engine management simulation to FS 2020, as well as adding a desperately-needed classic aeroplane to stand out amongst all of the glass cockpit GA clones littering the MS 2020 Hangar.

The default MS 20202 contents are really starting to all look the same in terms of what's in the Premium Deluxe version and what's come out already. It really makes me think that Asobo should have made five fairly decent aeroplanes rather than twenty-five fairly cack ones which turn the tool-tip 'inop' into a virtue.

The particularly lacklustre Bird Dog and Kitfox 'cash-grab portover' payware add-ons instantly disappear amongst the several high-wing taildraggers already included in the sim, creating a situation where at the moment, Carenado's 182T and M20R appear to be the best aeroplanes available. Who'd have thought you'd ever be able to say that with a straight face?

And on the subject of that, Carenado may well answer my prayers first with their Beech 18 in MSFS. It won't have complex engine modeling of course, but at least it won't be another - yaaawn - taildragger with tundra tires.
