October 18, 20205 yr Commercial Member Let me know when you bring the V tail out. Paul Grubich 2017 - Professional texture artist painting virtual aircraft I love. Be sure to check out my aged cockpits for the A2A B-377, B-17 and Connie at Flightsim.com and Avsim library
October 18, 20205 yr @cavaricooper Nice. Funny though to see you griping about the same things I do. The polygons in the distance. Ridiculous airport lights... lol It is indeed a nice, smooth model to fly now. Really reminds me of the Real Air days.

The only problem I have is, there's no other plane for me at the moment... well, I'll get over it. Make sure you get well soon, take care Mick Thank you Mick. I'm currently learning MSFS livery painting (not just changing the default decals) and it's a steep learning curve. I hope to add some better liveries when I get my head round the challenge. Glad you enjoy the mod. Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

October 18, 20205 yr Seems I can't use the Mod in On Air Company. Its say the aircraft is not compatible because of the gross weight and empty weight differences, or is there a way?
October 18, 20205 yr It’s funny you say that Rob, the real N711X is a pretty V-tail that sat in the pull through hangars at Vandenburg years ago. Before the current owner, she was owned by an ex-Navy jock and had detailed Navy wings on either side of the cowl. She was BEAUTIFUL... but I much preferred to fly the A36. Still the V-tail is certainly ICONIC. C Edited October 18, 20205 yr by cavaricooper Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

I'm dying to see what you come up with but I'm pretty sure nobody would blame you if you only do flight models. It makes such a difference, just incredible. October 18, 20205 yr Moderator Guys - I love this bird as much as the next BUT please do not post screenies that are just pretty images - they belong in the screenshot forum. Of course, if you are posting an image to demonstrate an issue, that's fine but no more "flight logs" please. V RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

Strangely, I have many emails from Tom, congratulating me for exactly this sort of prose on AvSim. Tom then even promoted some of these postings to Front Page News... things have changed. All I wanted to do was highlight the MANY HOURS of altruistic labor from someone who has been major player in the Flight Sim community for decades. It was not intended to be gratuitous, rather I was hoping persons would read the article and want to try this gem for themselves. I also hoped they would want to reward such stellar labor at https://www.paypal.com/donate/?cmd=_donations&business=XMBLBU72YLFMA¤cy_code=GBP&Z3JncnB0= . Abject apologies. C Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

I loved the dialogue and the pictures and, as you can see, they are still there. But this forum is mainly text based and I do not want to encourage endless posts with pictures of their latest flights. They belong in the screen caps forum. All is well... It looks cute, though it was demonised for structural integrity issues with the tail when exceeding Vne. The fact that generally Vne was being exceeded due to a loss of control and impending CFIT which would destroy the aircraft anyway never seemed to be taken into account.
October 19, 20205 yr The "Doctor Killer" reputation was greatly undeserved. It sprang from highly paid and very busy individuals who did not keep current, or do a proper weight and balance, rather showed up and overloaded the a/c and blasted off on a trip without prep. The complex (and slippery) aircraft was soon ahead of the pilot, which then led to loss of flight path control and disaster. It was a brilliant (and iconic) design, but as mentioned, I still preferred the A36. Obviously our Turbonormalized G36 is the latest and greatest version of them all. Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
