Bonanza Turbo V2 RELEASED

Ryan, I concur with your assessment. Flying for a living, I see this a lot at KHOU. Particularly with GA. Most of the time, ATC is spot on awesome. But sometimes, this day...they can drop the ball.

I believe, that not only all this resequencing going on, ATC also probably through her for a loop, as I'm sure she was prepared to land on 4. At least in her mindset.

I know I would be.  With the issues that were compounding, and the added stress of landing on 35, probably put her lock in the "Red"

Not mentioned, in addition to all the changes, set yourself up with the winds she was contending with on 35, not only a large crab angle,

but a more than quartering tailwind blowing her off in that right turn, and most likely some fairly significant turbulence to boot.

Then with the winds, keep your speed up, turbulence etc.....and 3 Go-Arounds, you are going to have frustration

and fatigue issues. Because at that point, she most likely wasn't flying the plane anymore...she was fighting it!

Appch and Tower IMHO didn't do a good job of sequencing the traffic. Not once on the preceding

arrivals, did they ask anyone to slow to final approach speed.  Hence it was all left up to the Cirrus, to make up for it.

I remember that crash, I flew through Hobby a couple of times that day.  It was quite breezy.

My initial thought when I heard, was loss of control due to turbulence upset. Alas, that wasn't the case.

True, she is PIC....but when given her circumstances...sadly the outcome doesn't surprise me.

Someday, replay her situation in flightsim, with all the changes and WX. And the 3 Go-Arounds.

See how frustrating and fatiguing it will be.  But, keep in mind, your are simming.

She was doing it for real.

OK, My rant is over too. back to your regularly sched. programming.

I'm planning to do my instrument proficiency in V35B "V tail" fairy soon. My fried just upgraded avionics and doing final calibrations. I'm new  to Dynon but I do dig glass 🙂 I would provide feed back, or even make a video but I guess V tail is not G36

Since I ran into CTDs yesterday with the G36 mod can anybody do me a favor and start with the G36 inflight in default livery but mod installed w/ WAAA as destination, live weather around noon local time, MP deactivated. When I did this and waited at the Ready to Fly button for 1-2 minutes to get the scenery fully (down)loaded - what I usually do before clicking the Ready to Fly button while there is still HDD activity - I encountered several CTDs. Just trying to rule out the mod being the culprit, any help appreciated. Thanks

OK  ...  tested WAAA with the G36 mod

The settings I used for test:

- fullscreen 1440p

- I loaded default ultra with fps locked at 30 fps and my 2060 6GB card set to High performance when running fs2020

- live traffic was enabled

- MP was disabled

- my FFB2 force was disabled

-  trackir was enabled

-  process lasso was enabled with thread priority for fs2020 off and my i5 8400 set to "above normal" for fs2020

-  saitek switch panel on.

-  G36 turbo mod selected

Initial scenery download at 110 Mb/s for a few minutes.  Hit ready to fly when it dropped back to 16Kb/s . Spawned, landed and pulled off the runway fine, waited a few minutes and then logged back to main menu.

Lot's of thunder and lightning as expected with the Live Weather bug, but no other issues or any CTD .

thx a lot Glenn, must be my install then. btw 1600x900 full screen. maybe the culprit the the massive scenery download if it loads for minutes...

I am running 2560x1440 it took maybe 3 minutes at 110Mb.

RAM usage was around the 24.0 GB mark.

If you choose to re-install, My advice is that you do a full install of Win 10 with the latest video drivers.

I did a full re-install when MSFS was released. Installed MSFS in a separate SSD and I've never had a single CTD. I've experienced bugs but no CTDs.

I "basically" did that. First Win10 2004 new installed in August before MSFS released. Then MSFS fresh install end of August on HDD. Then deinstalled MSFS last week completely since I bought an SDD. Then re-installed last week MSFS again from scratch on SDD. Happend to see some weird behaviour like missing Ready to Fly button and missing toolbar (in any planes), so last weekend re-installed again. Weird, something must be still messed up, I do have rare CTD but usually only when MSFS is loading, unfortunately not reproduceable, a PC reboot usually helps. But once I'm flying then I'm flying with no CTDs. Yesterday I then saw the black splash screen while the blue bar was progressing, seen that here posted by somebody else before. But also that is not reproduceable. Probably need to do yet another full re-install again. Justed wanted to rule out it's Robert's G36 mod.

Sorry to hear of your issues with CTDs. I'm pretty sure the Turbo Bonanza Mod is very stable. I didn't have a single crash in the whole of V2 development, and that's with constantly reloading the aircraft with the sim running after edits. Hope you sort the problem soon.

thx robert for jumping in, I do love the mod since it did work at other places than WAAA. Finally a powerful G36, there is a MSFS landing challenge which I could hardly fulfill with the default G36 since I almost stalled despite full throttle. Sorry for spreading doubts here about stability of your mod, that was not my intention at all. Just desperately narrowing things down and it unfortunately boils down to yet another fresh install. not your fault. best, Phil

I often see CTD issues on forums for many people in MSFS, even if the Community folder is empty at all. The reason for these CTD is very difficult to understand, it is different for everyone. There is a suspicion that this is somehow related to the Azur cloud services, because this error does not occur in offline mode.

Personally, I already have a lot of mods in the Community folder, including a beautiful Bonanza from Robert plus a mod for G1000, G3000 and CJ4. But I never had CTD.

So, the CTD problem is definitely not related to Bonanza. I think so.

Nick-

How nice to see you here! I will happily admit that all my Custom Cockpit Camera setups were promulgated by my wonderful experiences with EZDOK! So glad you have discovered @robert young ‘s brilliant mod!

Be well, and please give my regards to Marniftarr.

New windows update is either released or about to be released and that sometimes complicates things even more.

The OS and Sim are WIP.

Carl, hi, I'm always very happy to see you too! Hello to Marniftarr will.

And Yes, I also set up my cameras in MSFS by analogy with EZCA and am in a familiar environment. Only turbulence bothers me, I don't really like it in the new SIM.

Robert, we're sorry about the offtop. But I highly recommend your Bonanza mod to everyone. This is the best flight experience in the new simulator.

That's very kind of you to say. I hope to be adding another mod for another default aircraft very soon.
