If SSW managed to port those features over to MSFS it should be a fine aircraft in the new sim. I'm not massively familiar with the type personally, but I'm assuming - given its developmental influences and year of design and construction - that it flies pretty much like an F-86D. Would you say that was a fair comparison? Edited January 28, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Would you say that was a fair comparison? Yes. I believe Fiat did admit to pinching the wing from the Sabre, or it was indeed modelled on it. After all, it was NATO cooperation during the cold war. It looks a lot like the F-86D as you say. The Portuguese had them as well I believe (Edit: just saw they included the paint scheme actually). The G91Y was a twin engine version that followed, but it didn't sell well. I sustained slight hearing damage (ears tested about a year later and asked if I had been in an explosion! 😦) from the Frecce Tricolori practicing in G91's just above my head on an open day just before the International Air Tattoo. I think I might have been Middle Wallop then before it got really big and moved to RAF Fairford. I was on the runway and one passed about 50 feet over the top coming down the centreline at the bottom of a loop. I couldn't hear it at all on approach, then when over the top just a massive bang that went right through me. Must have been very close to the speed of sound at the bottom of that loop. It made a weird acoustic hum/warble just a split second before the bang. Never heard anything like that before and not since! I am not going to sue, but I might get it back by buying the model and playing heavy metal at it in the sim. 😆 Edited January 28, 20215 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). January 28, 20215 yr Why you would fly a military aircraft in a civilian sim? Use DCS or play IL2-Sturmovik.

I've been through all the literature and I can not find MSFS described as a 'civilian' sim anywhere. So I guess it's okay. I really miss them both... the Camaro, not so much... "That's what" - She

Look at the modeled air inlet, it is squared compared to the real one, also the rudder has a different shape, like the canopy, and so on. If you observe the model more carefully you'll find other "little things" that show a bad modeled airplane. @Chock: the real G91 has a lot in common with a F86 Sabre, but the new one was a totally different beast, with better perfomances, different wing profiles etc. Edited January 28, 20215 yr by Claudius_ Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

I'd have a Chevy Camaro (perhaps not 4th gen, but definitely muscle car era and 80's IROC -Z) over a 4 cylinder Fiat anyday. The G-91 - quite pretty IMHO, but I prefer the look of the twin-engined one - the G91Y; little baby afterburners - so cute!
