i have installed the folder on community and set the ia traffic to 5% but no ships arriving to amsterdam 😞

Thanks!  Yep I have ships present.  I was flying off the coast of Aberdeen initially and just expected to see ships in the North Sea.....least I know its working cheers.

EDIT:  Weird, just spawned at Dyce, Aberdeen and now ships are in abundance in the North Sea!

Do you have ia traffic set to 5%?

I see ships now. You have to be near the port city/Ocean and then you will see ship traffic around you to a certain radius. You can spot it in LNM if you expand go near your aircraft. Scale it down ++++ You won't see AI traffic at a different part of the world either.

There will be once Asobo fixes an issue with all water equal to sea level for water traffic I think...the ships are actually there, just submerged!

And it's a great combination with the new XCub Floatplane!

I see no ships in or near Vancouver harbour... do you?

I do see two cruise ships offshore, MSC and Costa, neither of which I would expect to see around here...

That may work for some lakes but not all. The Lake in Seattle is like 50 or 60 feet higher than the sea. That's why they have Locks to pass ships from the Sea to the lake and vice versa. They have glass windows to the side of the locks/Steps so Salmon fish could go up the streams/steps and we could watch them through the glass. One of the highlights of my first Seattle trips. 🙂

Negative, that was a little disappointing. But there's always room for improvement. Many ships to see offshore along the way to Seattle.

There's quite a few BGL traffic files for Vancouver in the Scenery directory. I couldn't find any way to read them though.

OK, update on the performance hit.  I had a look at the file I'd copied into my community folder and noticed that it was 2.7gb.  When I extracted the file again from the zip folder it was 4.7gb so this time I extracted it directly to the community folder (as per the instructions 😳) and that seems, for the most part, to have solved the problem.  Maybe added seconds to the load time rather than 10 minutes and just noticed 1 mini freeze of about 1 second whilst skimming a tanker off Gibraltar. 😁

I'll give it another test tomorrow but so far so good.

Yeah, atm AI boats in MSFS spawn at sea level, so lakes and river that are above or below, the boats will either be under water or flying above it.
