Thanks for tipping us off Noooch, as I'm really looking forward to seeing this in the sim, all we need now is live traffic with liveries, and maybe animations, then the immersion will be tremendous.

Important setting info from Mr. Nielsen himself:

Basically all the routes are set to appear at very low setting for ship traffic (5%) as the traffic is unique to different areas utilizing models realistic for each region. The default scaling consists of using the same 10-15 default models and repeat them more an more, so my recommendation is to use a low setting to avoid that repetition and you will not increase traffic from Global AI Ship Traffic by increasing settings. You will at 5% get around 24000 ship movements divided on around 2000 routes and the same at 100%…

we need ai air traffic now its not the same without it

Awesome! I am definitely looking forward to this! One helluva amazing add on that adds a lot of immersion!

i have this working already in MSFS. Not sure what I did, so How do I remove the AI ships and anything else? hmmm...So I clean it for tomorrow's install.

I have one folder called AIShips. within that, another subfolder Global_AI_Ship_Traffic_V2.

Do I just remove that? anything else?

BTW..It has some sort of a wake. now.

What! Manny, how did you get that wake effect?

I haven't tried the old FSX shopping pack for a while, as I have been waiting for this new version, but last time I looked there was nothing.

Maybe Asobo added an effect back in at the last update.

P.S. About removing the folders, I found two main root folders in the community folder.  They were right next to each other in alphabetical order, so easy to find.

Edit. Ah! I see that photo with the wakes isn't yours, but from their thread on the MSFS forums. I think that picture is from P3D. They were just showing an example of an older ship in their P3D and FSX packs.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I've not given too much thought to AI shipping but quite looking forward to checking this out as MSFS is fairly light in this area.  A bonus would be a NATO fleet sailing into the Baltic or South China sea 🙂

This a live map of all shipping traffic in my region.

The empty sea, rivers, lakes and harbours are an immersion killer.

The lack of wakes even more.

Yea I already use the FSX version of this mod in MSFS currently instructions were knocking about in an old thread somewhere.  So what am I gaining from this new release??

Very interesting view of active marine traffic.  Like the water version oh FlightRadar24.  Thanks for posting.
