My experience was much better. I had 3 fps. But honestly, I would really be interested in other places around the world that are that bad.

On the MSFS forum, CurriedCat, a Tech Alpha Insider, revealed the following only minutes ago: "I’ve had the 2-3 fps issue in the middle of nowhere as well. Only things around were hills and trees, not even roads." So there you have it: 2-3 FPS at 76T, and the middle of nowhere. Two separate locations. Edited March 17, 20215 yr by NightOfDreams

March 17, 20215 yr Well add another two. I had it on the ground at FACT Cape Town and at FL330 somewhere between FAPE and FACT, also in the middle of nowhere. I thought sim was going to crash as it was a genuine slide show. You know, the kind where the presenter talks way too much and does not move along. 45 - 60 seconds later and was back silky smooth and stayed there. Using Track IR. Filed with Zendesk. I'm quite sure it feels more like 3. GPU usage goes down because at least 3 CPU cores are spiking like crazy. Look at the graphs in Task Manager. There simply is no process feeding the GPU anymore. It was only this release that caused any issues for me in over 200h of IFR flying. Oh, and the intial release had a CTD issue w/ the VFR map that happened to me once. So your comment, 'an experimental work in progress' doesn't align w/ my experience at all. I'm also one who did no 'community mods'. So every release worked better than the prior for me, including the recent one that greatly improved cloud rendering quality, and the addition in the most recent update of new features in the TBM which is mostly all I've been flying. All the terrain spikes in my frequented areas were resolved as well in a recent patch. So for me it's always been better, until this patch. When I look at the scale of that 'further development over a period of many years' it def feels like an alpha release in large part. And really, if you throw out the recent blunder patch, how many really had significant issues with it since release? Eliminate all those who modded the heck out of it and I'll bet the number who suffered from anything like the show stopper that this patch is will be quite small. March 19, 20215 yr I don't know if anybody has posted this strange workaround that helps in all regions with stutters, even in this notorious Bishop, Texas: Go in developer mode/Options/Terrain and deselect "Draw On Terrain". In my case I had smooth 45 to 50 fps in Bishop again. This is not a fix, of course. You have to stay in developer mode and the ground on larger airports looks like word not allowed with this workaround. But the stutter is gone. 🙂
