March 17, 20215 yr This is supposed to be the happy sandbox. Please stop cluttering up every positive experience and thread with your complaints already. Go play another game or sim already.
March 17, 20215 yr I really hope that you guys can enjoy the day when this bug is fixed. It doesn't seem that way.

Go play another game or sim already. I was in the happy group for 7 months until this. I didnt have any significant issues that made me want to quit the sim. If they ever fix it I will be in this happy group again. Otherwise I'm in the unhappy group and will be playing P3D again. Good day sir
March 17, 20215 yr I think we're all rather tired and emotional. Those of us with CFTS (Chronic FPS Tanking Syndrome); an official posting by MS states the problems are not in our minds and will be addressed soon. Those that haven't the issues - fantastic!
March 17, 20215 yr Well, I am empathetic to your issues my friend, and I certainly agree with your right to post them everywhere, but some of us just need a place where we can speak of Our enjoyment. This thread was hijacked immediately, and has turned into 16 pages of rants. No one in the multiple rant threads on this increasingly toxic forum likes hearing of anyone having a positive experience, so at least afford others the same respect.

March 17, 20215 yr The only thing I can confirm from that video is that their QA is "extensively" bad if they couldn't figure out that something wasn't going wrong just after the UK update. much less the Sim update. But that level of mediocrity has become the norm for them in any case. I also loved how even though the performance issue was the first question out of the Community managers mouth in the Questions and answers section (and this performance issue has been gathering steam in multiple threads in their forums) they made it sound as if it wasn't a big deal and haven't decided if they will hotfix it or not. I watched it in real time. After the MS manager said what he said about the hotfix i rolled my eyes and turned off the video. It pretty much came off like we'll get to it when we get to it. I'm going off experience with them and their work since this sim was released and the way i would handle it as an IT Admin myself at the company i work for. Their behavior for me is a little too lax for my liking. But that's how they run their ship. You can't catch anything if you don't do proper beta testing. You can take that to the bank.

I'm not sure I would do "traditional" beta testing at this point either, or at least not of the cacophonous type there was before release, where things were just all over the place, with people messing with files and just general craziness happening. Honestly even with thousands of people "testing" there were still things that were either not caught or simply not addressed before the rather abrupt launch. Same as now, actually. I remember testers were told to stand by because there might one day be additional need for betas, but companies also use internal groups with varying success as well, and I'm not sure that's a worse option than having zillions of random people seeing bugs under every bed. One of the things I noted in the beginning of the video was the developers pointing out (very, very politely) that many reported "bugs" were people simply not knowing what they were doing... Its their choice of course, but I myself would probably be a bit dubious, and would leave testing to the internal group(s) including actual pilots and maybe smaller partner developer beta groups. EDIT: In fact I remember Rob causing a stir back then with several posts at the time putting forward his opinion that the so called "beta" as formulated then was actually useless, as it had no cohesive structure.
