You first set a specific view to your preference using the keyboard arrow keys to move left/right/up/down, or ALT + up/down. You can also pan and tilt. Once the view is the way you want it, press CTL + ALT + a top row number key from 1 through 9. You can recall the view by pressing ALT + the number key. These custom views are associated with the aircraft model, so you can have one set of custom views for the CRJ and a completely different set for the TBM or 172 etc. I did the same, but for recall I found it very cumbersome to press ALT+1...ALT+ 0 etc. So I went into that section for the cockpit cameras and changed the “Load Custom Camera” ALT + number assignments to just the keypad number and then I just need to press the appropriate number on the keypad. I think it’s easier than doing the the two key combo press, easy to look around too during critical phases of the flight. i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |

I would prefer to use the numeric keypad as I do in X-Plane. I had previously set up really nice interior views tied to a separate USB numberpad but now none work in the CRJ. Second question, is there a way to set these up using CTL+ATL+NUM but recall them just with the numberpad rather than having to also press ATL + ? Mark CYYZ

One way to avoid having to use two hands to send keypad combinations is to use something like Touch Portal (TP). With TP you can set up single buttons on a tablet which when pressed, send whatever combination of keystroke characters you need to the sim. There is a free version that allows setting up a limited number of buttons, but the Pro version is relatively inexpensive, about $13 or so as I recall, and supports hundreds of buttons if needed. A nice feature is you can label the TP buttons with what they do so you don't have to remember what button does what. And TP is actually quite powerful, e.g., it supports conditional logic programming of buttons if needed, etc. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/589200-best-use-of-a-tablet-ever/ https://www.touch-portal.com/ Al Edited March 21, 20215 yr by ark

I had to rework my custom views on the numberpad....I am guessing it is tied to aircraft models. You can do it for the 700 and then and then copy the Camera.cfg to the 550 so you don't have to repeat the process. Exactly, I copy any one of my cameras into whatever aircraft I want and then adjust the view and rebind them to the numpad. Agree ALT +1 etc is cumbersome, but there's a next and previous view option for these commands which just rotates through each forward or backwards. March 21, 20215 yr If you want to change the shortcut to numpad, do you change this in the cameras.cfg or in the options menu? Hans

See the post right above yours regarding use of the num pad. Apparently it is possible. Custom views are linked to the aircraft model you created them for. March 21, 20215 yr Had to share my great experience flying the CRJ this morning. I was on short final to YHZ runway 23 after a smooth flight with mostly clear skies so I could watch the scenery go by, beautiful sunny day as it is IRL here today and I noticed another CRJ holding short for me. I thought “uh oh, I have an audience, don’t screw up the landing!” and I proceeded to grease it, my fifth landing and best one so far. 🙂 On the off chance that the person piloting that CRJ is on the form, thanks for waiting for me and I hope I didn’t disappoint 🙂 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
March 21, 20215 yr The autopilot won't engage. Anyone able to help figure out why? Also - how do I tell if the yaw dampers are on? Edit: Never mind. It was the stab/mach trims not being on. Edited March 21, 20215 yr by FlyingInACessna
March 22, 20215 yr Update: Very cool airplane, and man is it nice to have a complex airliner in the sim! Still working out how to properly conduct climbs & descents etc. but having a blast 🙂

About the Yaw Dampers ( even though it was something else for you ), I am having to get used to items popping up in the MFD, like the Yaw Damper message, instead of a Light on the switch or button lighting up or turning off. But apparently that how the CRJ rolls, so I have too also! It's just different, but in a good way to me 🙂 "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ
