Where did I say that the gentleman was not ALLOWED to post his view points?

I never said that.

I said that he needs to go to the right avenue to be heard instead of going to a place where nothing will come of it. I also added that eventually his constant complaining in every thread is inconsiderate. It’s like going into random conversations and just spouting off his view points with complete disregard for the current conversation.

he’s more than welcome to start his own thread.

What he’s doing is the equivalent of a passenger going up to a pilot to complain about how the airline lost their baggage during a connection. How in the world is the pilot going to fix that problem? What the pilot is going to do is direct said passenger to the CORRECT avenue in which their problem can actually be solved and their complaining won’t fall on deaf ears. Is the pilot telling the passenger to go talk to customer service a form of censoring? No, it’s helping the passenger to be more efficient and effective with their complaining.

His post was the Very First response to the thread opener. YOU took offence to his response to the opener. Not even the OP. YOU made the call to decide what's on topic or not. Well again.. thats not how it works.  He can post in the thread all he wants whether you like it or not.

And he appropriately reminded fellow forums members  of that the moment someone tried to call him out for it.

Again.. you may not like what he has to say or think it appropriate but as he even pointed out. There are ways to deal with that.

I have a workout to complete and neither you or I am going to be moved by each others arguments so if you want the last word have at it.

Here's a question. If someone derails a topic, and then you derail their topic, does that put it back on the rails, or just make it even more derailed? 🤣

Please, allow this thread to further the discussion beyond just you two. It is clear at this stage you have missed understanding each other and this is done, there is no coming back. It is just normal with a written medium where you can't express your feelings via body language (unlike in the Q&A where body language is as important as the answers themselves in my opinion...)

Personally, I want to see Asobo perform their next Q&A through the medium of dance. 🤣

Why ist this B S? I enjoy the fact that MSFS ist much more advertised and popularized than the others sims after the death of FSX. If nothing else, it bring us fresh blood, more buyers of addons (= more resources for addon development) and more people to have friendly discussions with.

Kind regards, Michael

Neuman is the product head at MS, the guy in charge.

He pompously claims that the soul of the MFS experience comes from  a core simulator that is very authentic. Far from being true.

He is the one responsible for giving the green light to the release of updates that have made a rather promising but unfinished sim unstable month after month.

He claims that putting the resources to the Xbox is a way of evangelizing gamers to the gospel of flight simulation when we know that their only (and legitimate) goal is to trigger a second wave of sales.

Reasonable hype is good up to the point where there is too large a gap between what he says and reality. Then it becomes toxic.

This is way more accurate than guessing objects shapes from aerial images, which is how autogen is currently made.

But how was it done by SwissTopo? The methods I can imagine would anyway not be suitable to ever get global coverage...

You can jump directly into the landscape e.g. with this one:

Maps of Switzerland - Swiss Confederation - map.geo.admin.ch

Although I think this is a great improvement and very promissing, I think the Swiss would benefit from a tree fix to.

For the rest, Neuman does his usual alternate reality routine (aka marketing) promoting a sim which does not yet exist to be brought to the crowd of the ill-washed (aka gamers) thanks to Xbox.

To be fair, what else shoul he do?

Happy with MSFS 🙂
