the temp must be watched closely... if your cowl flaps are closed and you're maxing out your throttle...  you WILL spike it.  This is normal.

The leeway we will be adding will be "unrealistic" but more in tune with those of you who don't like to watch your temps.

Well thats a step backwards. You make a fantastic aircraft and start taking away why it so good for people who want a toy. Very disapointing to read. The sim has countless toys, you make imo the best hands on aircraft and now pulling it back because people blow the engine.....they need to learn. Not you down grading your aircraft for them.

I love the current risk of blowing up my engine if I don’t manage it properly, makes for a much more interesting flight when I have to actually scan the gauges on top of flying the aircraft.

Its a huge part of the  aircraft, it is so good...update....was,......and make it "unrealistic"....what a ridiculous move. They will be taking away the need to trim it next so its like a 152 to take off....talk about going in the wrong direction....

It will still splat but it will be with a bit more... warning...  so it will still happen fast... just not AS fast...  So still within the realms of likelihood but, all in all, with a more "considered" approach... Perhaps, my use of the word unrealistic was too harsh... It's just a bit too "in your face" right now.  Am i making sense here?

We're looking at oxy but blackouts/redouts are not yet possible... (at least, we can't find anything on that in the SDK)....

Icing...nope.  On our GA aircraft, we will put this in play....

The alternative is to leave it as is... and allow for it to be disabled.  I will ask about this.

Please leave it as it is, make an option for people who want a toy but dont turn IMO the best hands on aircraft in the sim into a toy just becasue some people cannot control an FG temps.

Please do an option dont nerf your aircraft. SP should be to make it better not the other way round. If you canot to an option leave it well alone.

Maybe it would be cool to have a way to switch between the two. You can select between realism and basic.

I have heard some people that are frustrated with the plane, and it might make an even ground so people will still buy future products that are not as into total realism as others?

I can manage my oil splat most of the time, but sometimes, it just comes from nowhere and splat.

Some others that bought it I fly with, stop flying, and switch to other planes, when It would be fun to all fly as a squadron around.  The frustration becomes to much, with the difficulties on takeoff and the oil issue.. snd they basically give up on it.

🙄 I take it you never land in your "squadron" or you would want that also made toy like...Just explain what would be left, an aircraft that takes no skill to takeoff and fly and by the sound of it you dont even land because thats also as difficuilt as takeing off.

So you want Milviz to take the best hand on aircraft we have imo and make it a toy becasue you find it difficult!

I second the requests to not "easy-mode" the engine management too much, at least not without making it an option.   Part of the joy of flying planes like this for me is keeping tabs on a monster of an engine and knowing when and for how long you can truly push it without... splat. 

I fully understand the folks who don't enjoy that, or don't enjoy the strictness of the current logic.  If the modifications you're planning keep things within actual specifications and what a pilot would reasonably expect it's one thing.  But it would be sad to see it pushed outside the bounds of realism without making it optional.

and they have many aircraft to choose from, I dont at that level.

Since they can choose to fly the Spitfire or the Savage Carbon or quite a lot of other planes, there really is no need to make the one realistic plane unrealistic just because some players find it too complicated. If it's optional - ok.

That makes a lot more sense.  Give people an option. Or even two different installs.

Dumbing down a good aircraft to get a few dollars from casual weekend flyers will not go well long term.
