Going to break down and buy it even if I have to disconnect my Honeycomb. Just going to do it. Again. Had the same thought - bought it anyway and use the alpha and bravo instead of a stick. Key is to apply some corrective right rudder and aileron before you even start the takeoff roll, at least that really helped for me. April 4, 20215 yr Setting up all the trims is in the manual, but what none of these vids show is you must set up you CG. Again in the manual. If the people that make theses vid have not set up the CG then your watching a vid on how to over come an aircraft set up totally out of CG. Its like the blind leading the blind. April 4, 20215 yr I read you need to setup the CG in the manual but I don't have the same screen in MSFS. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

April 5, 20215 yr And for the people that miss this step Here is how the fuel page looks as default flight/as the aircraft loads. How it should look, you dont have to remove the drop tanks but you do need to do the CG. 13 minutes ago, Dillon said: Thanks for this tip. This made all the difference for me as I overlooked this. This little workaround should be gone with the next sim update. its actually an msfs bug that was introduced with the last update, when they implemented this new Empty CG UI. The sim, upon loading a plane, tends to always reset the empty CG to LEMAC (leading edge basically), making most of the tail draggers very VERY nose heavy. It happens on all planes, but is less noticeable on tricycles so if you have troubles with your other taildraggers, first thing would be to check that.
April 5, 20215 yr I've had a few flights with the Carb Air Temp light coming on (Oil Cooler open 100%, other two shut). Nothing I seem to do clears the problem (meanwhile engine is not delivering power and speed bleeding fast). What is the correct sequence for the various cooling flaps etc?

April 5, 20215 yr @Nyxx Unlikely: both prop and power had been pulled back. The placard with 'Carb Air Temp' says to use the 'Lower Blower'. The documentation is a little vague in this area but it seems to suggest that the intercooler lever needs to be in some or the other mystery position (was one after startup, switch to closed after take-off, switching back to 100% open makes no difference). EDIT: I think it's just a case of me being a complete word not allowed: I never did change the fuel selector back to main tank (quit the flight before thinking of that, but it's likely the root of the problem). April 5, 20215 yr My best advice on engine management is, watch your gauges and adjust accordingly. LouP

Oil cooler flap controls oil temp, Intercooler flap controls intake air temp. Open intercooler flap, lower supercharger boost.
