France & Benelux World Update (1.15.7.0) is now live!

Recommended Posts

I've noticed some performance improvement with this update, I'm in the middle of Marseilles with Photogrammetry turned on, and I'l going like 5-10 more FPS than before.

Flew from Brussels to Amsterdam, two pretty big cities in Europe, FPS were smooth, couldn't be happier. ,

Anyone running RealSim Gear hardware, if you get a crash at the initial loading screen remove the RealSimGear folder from your community folder.  Guessing it’s another victim of the WASM crashes and we won’t be able to use our hardware until Asobo fixes this.

I wonder if my install is completely borked.  Today when I started the sim before the update, it started to update the existing version.  I exited out before it could complete.  I then went to the windows store and it picked up the new version which I downloaded.  Everything else went fine after that, but I wonder if something got interrupted.

To be clear, the black screen comes after you hit the fly now button during the cinematic.

I'm just curious, is it normal that after you install a world update, you have to go to the marketplace and "buy" the world update content and then download it in the profile manager? Or is there something weird going on with my installation?

That is normal. Is this your first time? It was this way with all World Updates. Japan, USA and UK. Three times one had to do this already. Did you forget?

I had to restart FS2020 a few times when it got stuck, but now it runs like a charm. Tested Amsterdam photogrammetry... wow!! I used to live there for 13 years, very recognizable all the main buildings, and no stuttering.

Of course some minor issues: what is installed in the Community folder is labeled Not Installed in the Content Manager... despite removing it and restoring. But who cares... it flies fine! 🙂

Unfortunately not. I built the stand alone WASM sample from the 0.12 - same crash.

It is only the standalone modules that are affected, not those that are part of an aircraft package.

Thanks for the clarification!

I've always been current.  Interestingly though, after I updated to today's version, the content manager had downloads from the previous world updates.  I had already downloaded those a while ago, so not sure what happened.
And, no, this isn't my first rodeo...ROFL.  It wasn't this way after the other world updates.  This is a hung sim as far as I can tell.  I really think I might have gotten a broke install.
