Actually I saw one in the training school room at an a regional airport last year. Trying to recall which one it was. In any case if it was not this brand it was greatly similar and was more substantial than it looks in photos. Materials more similar to say profession photo gear (like Manfrotto, etc) than camping seats. I sat in it and was surprised and impressed. It would not fit my bill as I do not believe both a Honeycomb Alpha and Beta could be mounted. The lower mounts off to the sides are more like for smaller quadrants or joysticks. Takes up about the same amount of room as a typical piece of exercise equipment and may have the ability to fold somewhat for storage, depending on what all is mounted on it. Would likely appeal more to someone with a large screen TV. Would think about selling it now but then what would I find to fall back to if the used 1080 I bought last Fall failed? 8 GB 1080 TI's on eBay have clearly more than doubled in price in that same time spam. I got one for under $300 USD and now they are $750 and up. (LOL at word not allowed), if only I had known how lucrative the GPU market would become, I would have kept the five year old dust covered 2GB GTX 770 that I dumped a year ago, and stuck it on eBay for 500 quid Edited April 17, 20215 yr by Christopher Low Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

April 23, 20215 yr no denying it's perfectly usable for flying, but just looking at the flex caused by casually leaning on it, will absorb a lot of the FFB feel for car racing, for which it's also marketed for
April 23, 20215 yr Well i owned an Obutto for quite a while. The problem with these things especially the Obutto is that they advertise it as it can do everything.... Well it can BUT if you are flying you bolt on the Stick/Throttle/Rudder etc etc All good right? Well um no. So lets say that i want to go for a drive. Ok Unbolt the Stick/Throttle/Rudder etc etc. All takes time Cables everywhere. In essence if you really loved these things you need 2, in my case. I like to do a bit of everything. But really, i just cannot beat sitting at my large long desk. Mike Intel 12700k No over clocking 32GB G-Skill 3600 Ram MSI RTX3080
April 23, 20215 yr In the end I built this which is rigid and on castors to wheel around. The keyboard stand is hinged, slides off and folds in half. Heli collective and gear stick are clamped to the side and move with the frame. Cyclic and rudder pedals lift out and replaced with a board that sits on the frames rails and becomes the floor when racing. A lot of the stuff can sit on the seat while wheeling it about and the rest is easily moved as it's designed to sit on the floor wherever it's most comfortable to use. 10 port powered USB hub is attached to the frame. It's very very basic and cheap to build. All the wood, screws, hinge and casters in the pix about $120 from Bunnings. Car seat $80 from wreckers Edited April 23, 20215 yr by dogmanbird

I know this stuff from having a horse; these are notorious for being the playthings of well off people of course. So what you find is that if you bought a little toolbox from a DIY shop to put your brushes and hoofpicks etc in, it might cost you ten quid, but if you saw the same box in a horsey shop and they said it was a 'grooming tackle box', it'd be 50 quid. April 23, 20215 yr Hrumph! Years ago I did as that very smart Dogmanbird fellow has done (and you can too) - get yourself a used car seat from the wreckers and mount it on a sheet of 3/4" plywood, with whatever 2 x 4's you need for height & 'slide-ability', then mount the rest of the gear as you see fit. For real do-it-yourselfer's - http://www.desktopaviator.com/ has many USB circuit boards that will make any controller you can build, use, convert, cobble together - interface to the simulator for hundreds of quid, bucks or yen far cheaper than this seat costs. Some rudimentary skills with a hammer. saw, screwdriver, same paint and a bit of imagination is all you need. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
