No one knows not even PMDG. 🙂

Thank you for the answer! 😉

If I were to bet, based on Robert's last statement on the matter, around end of summer or start of winter. He worded his statement in such a way that left enough space open for a 777 release in 2021, so the 737 must surely be a lot closer than end of year 2021.

Thanks much for your clarification! 😉

I dont know why people in these forums tend to get off topic so easily…

The fact is that there is a bug with the product which is nice to know and be aware of so you can decide to:

a) use it the way it works for now while it is fixed

b) ask for a refund if you feel it is unacceptable

c) If you haven't bought it yet, decide to do it or not

d) none of them, and do something else

and that should be all, but there is no need to fill forum pages with messages to judge if PMDG knows how to develop a program or not, or if the forum policy is legal or not, or if gamers are good or bad or things like that… it is a shame there are bugs, unfortunately bugs are present in almost every program we use in our lives

I think we should use this topic to share our experiences with the aircraft, tips, help each other, etc…

Regards

ask for a refund if you feel it is unacceptable? that´s wat i did, they say no refund after install it......

now i sit here over 6 hour´s and try to fix this via support .

and have still a not working plane.

glad it work for the most here, so have Fun!

I have to disagree with you Alan 🙂 I think your analogy is flawed  🙂...../buys two beers...Alan..

He is talking about software addons for flight simming. Not Aircraft that fly humans IRL...

That's not the point I am making, it had nothing to do with the seriousness of the issue, it was the mindset of 'we all do it' being used as an excuse which I was drawing attention to. The fact that I picked real aeroplanes as an example is irrelevant, I just happened to pick them, but I could just as easily have picked something else, so let's do that: Serial-wired Christmas lights...

Loads of companies make serial-wired Christmas lights, but they're cack, the fact is it's a bad design; one bulb goes loose and all the bulbs stop working, because the circuit breaks. But if you wire Christmas lights in parallel, they keep working even if one bulb is disconnected, i.e. this is a better design. So if a manufacturer accused of making crappy serial-wired Christmas lights pointed at all the other manufacturers of serial-wired lights and said 'theirs do the same thing', this does not alter the fact that they are making something which is inherently problematic. That's what saying 'all other software has bugs' is akin to if someone uses that to excuse an issue. Or to put it even more simply: You can't legitimately use 'everyone else is cack at it' as an excuse for being cack at it.

The fact that people accept that software has bugs because it happens frequently doesn't alter the fact that it is sloppy and a mistake. It might be inevitable with software which is complex when companies want to bang it out to a schedule, but of itself this is not a viable excuse for not checking stuff or accepting sloppy practices.

This could be right, but I think a lot of the other add-on aircraft only have one LOD.

Ray

Robert Randazzo is the narrator of the videos - the CEO of PMDG. He talks a lot about the DC-3 because he owns one. There are a bunch of YouTube videos featuring this aircraft when he and a crew flew it from the US to the UK two years ago for the 75th anniversary of D-Day

Thanks Jim, I was about 95% certain it was RSR himself, but was having a hard time convincing myself that he would take the time and make the effort for this level of detail for this many tutorials.
