That would be because some countries (most in fact) have rules concerning product support which will not allow a manufacturer to demand that you publish your details to everyone in order to get product support. The 1968 Sale of Goods Act in the UK is an example of this. Of course there are often exemptions for online product sales, but this doesn't make it morally acceptable, and since most laws are essentially based on moral beliefs, you can see why it's not a great way to be. It's quite often the case these days that more recent rulings cover this, again an example of this in the UK is the 1988 Data Protection Act. Can't say I've checked this for sure, but I would be willing to bet that the requirement to publish your personal details in order to gain product support for something sold in the UK would be forbidden by this particular Act of Parliament. June 19, 20214 yr I wonder if a Pilots operating Handbook of around 350 pages plus 2 written Tutorials, for the DC6 is enough for the folks complaining about no study level aircraft in MSFS? Edited June 19, 20214 yr by Bobsk8
June 19, 20214 yr I don't think I've ever been more impressed with a plane in a sim. This is truly an authentic experience on the big screen in the cinema room. The sound alone is worth it, at low RPM the sofa shakes underneath me as it should. Just bloody awesome. It's one of the very rare occasions where I feel it will be worth to invest time to properly study the manuals. Really impressed. Simming since FS 98. MSFS rig - Ryzen 3600 4.2Ghz - 32GB RAM 3600Mhz - Motherboard MSI 570 A Pro - RTX 2080 Ti -all overclocked - 2xNVME storage. PSU Corsair HX850i platinum. Average 30Fps on 4K ultra.

In the Flying Fabio’s debut Twitch stream a couple of days ago, he definitely was using MP, as there were other aircraft flying along with him as he approached PDX for his first landing, and even close two fly-bys by the Thunderflys jet demo team, and it seemed to be working fine. Apparently it is mainly a problem with other MP users also using the PMDG DC-6 in close proximity. That's actually how much I thought they'd sell it for. So I was pretty surprised at the cost. Hopefully their 737 follows suit. Their old FSX verison was 69.99 when it first came out. Now everyone is crashing using it for a joyride and not taking it seriously. Now PMDG or Asobo needs to fix the Xbox gamers. Vatsim is just fine. I don't see anything on PMDG's product page that says it's not intended for multiplayer.

June 19, 20214 yr $xx is not cheap? So what is "cheap" ? and what is cheap to one person can be nothing to the next one. Calling something expensive or cheap is pointless as it only aplies to your own circumstances. I was in mclaren VIP lounge at Geneva Motor show and a guy next to me odered 2x 720s at £250,000 each. he proberly thought there were "cheap". To "me" they are far from "cheap" but the point is the label only applies to your idea of it. Not a blanked statment that $xx is not cheap or is "cheap". June 19, 20214 yr I dont know why people in these forums tend to get off topic so easily… The fact is that there is a bug with the product which is nice to know and be aware of so you can decide to: a) use it the way it works for now while it is fixed b) ask for a refund if you feel it is unacceptable c) If you haven't bought it yet, decide to do it or not d) none of them, and do something else and that should be all, but there is no need to fill forum pages with messages to judge if PMDG knows how to develop a program or not, or if the forum policy is legal or not, or if gamers are good or bad or things like that… it is a shame there are bugs, unfortunately bugs are present in almost every program we use in our lives I think we should use this topic to share our experiences with the aircraft, tips, help each other, etc… Regards

If you go off that argument, we could say it's alright for any new airliner to have a couple of fatal accidents before they sort it out because that's what occurred with the A320 and the 737. I have to disagree with you Alan 🙂 I think your analogy is flawed 🙂...../buys two beers...Alan.. He is talking about software addons for flight simming. Not Aircraft that fly humans IRL. And to sort of stay on topic PMDG are one of the best at release of product but the NG 777 747 etc all have needed a patch and so does the new DC-6. I cannot think of one addon that did not need a fix or a patch. Its why develpoers come out with the old chestnut "its programming softwear for you." Softwear for flight simmiing is not a life or death thing or even close to killing 100's of people in one go. Boeing or Airbus are not going to imploy PMDG or the guys over at FSL to programe the real thing and the testing would be on a level that would blow what passes for fligh simming out the water. So it seems we get softwear that needs fixing and that is just what we have and we all seem to be end beta teaters. So to cock up the DC-6 is nothing new and will get fixed and we all can live with that. All he was saying is thats always been the case and am sure developers get to a point were they need it to release so 1,000's can do the final beta testing. It will never be alright to have any IRL plane crashers and thats why so much work goes into finding out why. How many new bugs do Asobo bring in, but hey we can fix that..whoops! its what comes with this hobie. Sure we dont like it but its what it is. Edited June 19, 20214 yr by Nyxx David Murden. If I were to bet, based on Robert's last statement on the matter, around end of summer or start of winter. He worded his statement in such a way that left enough space open for a 777 release in 2021, so the 737 must surely be a lot closer than end of year 2021. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
