What will be in your future hangar?

Featured Replies

The launch of the PMDG DC-6 really underscores how good aircraft can be in this sim, and I can see myself buying a lot of them. But I want to focus on a core group based on the different types of flying I will do. I can see myself getting a 737 and 777, plus Majestic's Q400, along with a few smaller planes. I could also see myself getting a biz jet. So my hangar might look like this...

PMDG DC-6
PMDG 777
PMDG 737
PMDG MD-11
QualityWings Boeing 787 Dreamliner
FBW or FlightSimLabs A320
Majestic's Q400
Flight1 Mustang
Aerosoft Twin Otter
A2A Cessna 172
Milviz DHC-2 Beaver

No idea if some of these are ever released, but I think for me a hangar like this, plus one really good helicopter would satisfy my flight sim urge forever.

What do you think your future hangar will consist of?

Oh, I would  sell my soul to have  the PMDG MD-11 in FS2020... and a A2A Connie too. Dreaming....

I'd like to see someone like PMDG graft a passenger cabin on top of a B-29 airframe and take my money.  In other words,  more retro radial flavor please.  The Boeing 377 Stratocruiser.

And,  I'd like A2A to release a fully modern FS20 version of their Lockheed Constellation.

I would love a true study level P-38L.

An up-to-date replacement of the classic RealAir Scout/Citabria/Decathlon package by whoever can step up and fill Sean Maloney and Rob Young's shoes, based on the current versions of these aircraft (Scout Denali, Citabria Explorer and Extreme Decathlon).

I would fly them all over the world for years and years.

I really want the Aerosoft Twin Otter.  It is the perfect aircraft for this sim.  Low and slow, or can cruise a bit faster if you want.  Lands anywhere and on any surface.  A fairly good range, and a good view out of the cockpit side window.

I would also like a Piper Tomahawk.  Just Flight did a decent version, but the Carenado one in FSX was also pretty good, as it is a fairly simple aircraft to model and it handled nicely.  I spent many hours in it in FSX and I miss it.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Although my hangar is already sort of full, I'd give them all up (yes, even the WT CJ4), for a Lancair Legacy with partial glass panel (like a G500 or G5) with GTN 750.

My hangar will first be filled with GA traffic like Aersofts TwinOtter and hopefully C172/C182 from a2a. Later, if the sim develops in the right way I'll also add PMDG/FSL a/c. The latter also depends on how and when good ai airline traffic like AIG can be implemented. I also hope that the Dash Q400 from Majestic will make it into MSFS. These are the a/c I'm used to fly in another sim and still do from time to time.
