There is already a very high quality freeware Kai Tak, and 2 payware versions of Kai Tak.  That’s a lot of competition already that will limit any sales of a Fly Tampa Kai Tak, if they made one.  I suspect Fly Tampa looked at the market and figured there are other airports they can make with less competition.

But on FSX, their addon, was absolutely fantastic, would be a shame if we don't get it for MSFS

Every video I have seen of X-Plane, with the best graphics settings (4K, all X-Plane add ons, best graphics, etc), and X-Plane still looks like it's 10 years behind MSFS, in terms of graphics.

Yeah it's ugly looking.

Manny, have you checked out the freeware KJAC available at flightsim.to?  ORBX KJAC was one of my favourites, but the freeware one is very well done and I’d have to think twice before paying for another version of the airport.

Yes, I have. I hesitated putting that there, I put it anyway. 😉

X Plane, Orbx True Earth Southern California, Ultra Weather XP - makes a similar location in MSFS look horrid.  Outside True Earth areas using SFD Global and X America makes the limited autogen distance in MSFS look horrid.

Don't get me wrong, I have MSFS and use it. Out of the box scenery is better than X Plane, but a few addons makes the X Plane atmosphere far more believable than MSFS.  However, the weather in MSFS is far superior.

I also I miss a few well-known flagship developers. What became of Jarrad Marshall, Bill Womack, or Russ White? Or, Holger Sandmann who was a main architect of the former Landclass-based ORBX Regions?

They maybe be active somewhere in the background. Or, it's just a result of the ORBX forums turning more and more into pure marketing instruments from the former personal relations-based platform?

Kind regards, Michael

I used to love the work of Jarrad Marshall in particular.  And I can't help but wonder if ORBX has maybe become too subcontractor orientated.  They seem to be focusing on onselling third party scenery creations as opposed to developing their own.  Happened not long after the new CEO was appointed.

Jaseman. Lovin it up here........
