New Atc software announced

Which of course doesn't stop you from selling it to any unsuspecting buyer...

Given the track record, I believe potential buyers should be careful before committing to an unfinished product.

There are numerous examples of developers who vanished into thin air after an initial release, leaving unfinished or bug riddled products behind them. I'm yet to see a single publisher taking such product off the shelf.

An unsuspecting buyer would not be informed... We put a notice up at https://www.flight1.com/products.asp?vid=flt1sf&pid=f1utlive...

Notice: The developer has informed us that he is unable to continue development on the UTLive series at this time. Version 1 and Version 2 (which includes PowerPack) are still available for purchase. Version 2 is free for for Version 1 purchases and is available as a download option in the library.

We also put up a public announcement in the Ultimate Traffic forums also, that is still there.

Thanks,

This sounds really amazing--I looked in the thread for any approximate time range for release but didn't see anything. Any updates on that front?

Okay now I’m REALLY confused. You’re with Ultimate traffic??? Someone said you weren’t affiliated with them

Flight1 is associated with Ultimate Traffic Live as we published it, but the team on FSHud is completely different than the Ultimate Traffic developers. It is two very different development groups.

Thanks,

Put in another way: Flight One is the conductor, UTL is the composer

Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Win 10 Home. 500g Samsung 960 as Windows home. 1 Gb Mushkin SSD for P3D. GTX 1080 8gb.

Steve,

Having visited the FSHud site, it says that it will be for both P3D and MSFS, do we know yet if the release will be simultaneous or at different dates (I presume both platforms do have similarities but also perhaps enough differences to justify a separate testing and release).

Thank you to please clarify.

There are many elements in MSFS that are not the same, compared to P3D (SDK features, SimConnect, etc). P3D will be released first as that will have the core of the main systems. MSFS may have a reduced feature set when it is released if the same API's are no longer available. More will be posted on the FSHud site.

We posted the first video demo! Check it out below.

This video shows the creation of a flight plan, up through reaching cruise altitude. Note that there are several ways to create a flight plan, including using the /F option to automatically use the in-app planner using real-word navdata. The size of the display can also be customized based on your needs.

That looks good. I am particularly happy to see "hold short runway xx" in there. I have not heard an instruction like that since Flight Unlimited 3...

After watching the video some questions:

1. Will one be able to import a PLN file rather than using the built-in flight planner? Also, can one export a flight plan from the built-in flight planner to use in the future?

2. Can this support FAA ATC instructions and syntax in addition to the ICAO one shown in the video? For example, here in the US one doesn't need to contact Tower in crossing a runway. Ground control handles that.

3. If the interface is minimized, will it automatically pop-up if ATC is calling you?

Thanks and looks interesting!

After watching the video, I'm probably ready for my first P3D add-on purchase since quite some time.

Import and export is not there yet. You can copy and paste and FSHud will try to sync up any errors. Compatibility with SimBrief is likely the first format on the list.

Currently, in the first release, only ICAO is covered. It works globally.

Regarding a minimized state, a setting such as "open window when user action required" is something in the works.

Thanks Steve for the info. I assume that compatibility will include the default nav info in P3D? I am not a SimBrief user and use LNM as a planning aid.

Keep up the good work!
