1. Cessna Citation Longitude (with flight dynamics mod & WT G3000/5000 mod)

-Currently my favourite jet to fly (I'm not that interested in airliners). Amazing performance and range, and the modded G5000 suite makes it easy to experiment with various IFR procedures.

2. Daher TBM 930 (with WT G3000 mod)

-Also a nice IFR platform for me, just at a more leisurely pace and with the benefit of being able to fly VFR and into shorter runways.

3. Cessna 172 (modded with WT G1000 or simple steam gauge version, whatever I'm in the mood for)

-Because it's the most original Flight Simulator plane for me, bringing me back to the time when I first started in the Cessna back in version 4.0.

Some additional comments:

With MSFS, I noticed I prefer the airplanes with more high-tech glass cockpits much more than in previous versions, because back with FSX or P3D (or even worse in the versions before that), I never was able to run the G1000 aircraft at acceptable performance with the PCs I had at that time. That's why I don't really care too much about PMDG's DC-6 or JustFlight's Arrow. I'm just sick of flying airplane designs from the 50s because I feel I spent most of my flight sim "career" in those. 😄

Wow! That was very informative. Thanks.

Not exactly a ranking, just the group of simcraft that I have flown regularly these past weeks :

the PMDG DC-6 when I have enough time,

the Milviz Corsair quite better with the recently released SP,

and the Flyingiron Spitfire.

Yes, I love big radial engines 😁 and warbirds are excellent cruisers to discover Asobo's lands

I've also flown quite a bit the default XCub in the past months.

I'm the other way around. After flying GA aircraft in real life using VORs NDBs, I started flying sims and tubeliners where all you do is follow the magenta line and stare at the autopilot flying the aircraft. I decided after years of watching paint dry excitement, that I would return to old school aircraft, starting with several A2A aircraft. Same with MSFS, flying the Arrow, Mooney, and now the Holy Grail, the DC6. Isn't a boring moment in those aircraft.

a good summary of why I love flying good warbirds.  From the start of the takeoff run to the end of the rollout, never a dull moment. You are in charge or else 😏...

Yup, no drinking Margaritas and flirting with the flight attendants.

Turbo Arrow

A320NX back when the mod's performance was good for me

PMDG DC6

My uncle taught me "how to fly" on MSFS95, got MSFS98 for a birthday, and I have been hooked ever since

I have really been enjoying a more GA experience this past year. I know I will eventually begin with the airlines and commercial operations I have found GA to be really enjoyable.

Turbo Arrow for shorter flights (It is just too slow for longer cross country - I do not have the time)

Dahar 930 with the mods (For longer flights and IFR it is a really enjoyable aircraft)

DC6

But I would add a number of honorable mentions, including the X-Cub that I did a good number of flights in last winter.

Spoiler

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

Bell 47G :  Simply one of the best heli flight models I've flown in a sim.  The perfect low and slow sightseer. One of the all time great sim helis imo.

PMDG DC-6 :  Off the charts immersion factor. Complex yet accessible for the more "casual" simmer.

JF Arrows :  All three fly, look and sound superb.  Oozes character   Best GA For MSFS.
