What are your top pick planes?

Featured Replies

At this point in time:

#1: Wing42 Boeing 247D

#2 Tie: Redwing Connie & PMDG DC-6

#3 Tie: Carenado Beech D-18 & MS Junkers 52/3m

And because I'm leaning towards radials with this version of MSFS even more so than previous MSFS versions, honorable mentions to the BeeGee R2/Z and the AH Lockeed L-10 Electra.

Folks picking GA planes have never touched a A2A GA level type plane. Wing 42 is probably close.

I’ve been enjoying the Maddog as well. What third party soundpack are you using?

FTsim, you have to subscribe to their Patreon to get the pack, but its well worth it. Only issue is that the engine are audible in the flightdeck which they are not in the real world, hopefully it will be updated to remove said sounds and if so it will be the best pack out there. Its worth it in my opinion, and I am quite picky with sounds (curse of hearing all the flaws in sound).

A year later....

FSW C414, Black Square Velocity XL, SWS Van's RV14 (all with TDS GTN 750 Xi), WT CJ4, PMDG 737 BBJ

I'll agree with all the standard mentions of PMDG B737, Maddog, Fenix A320, Just flight Cherokees, Kodiak, Milviz C310 etc.

I am very surprised not to see the Just Flight BAe 146 mentioned - very well modelled, deep system depth and a step up in challenge over a very modern airliner.

Oh yeah.  What makes you think we've never flown the A2A gear?

And on top of that, let us know what A2A planes have been developed for MSFS that we can list here.

Cheers,

Jase

I'd also add the Concorde. It was fun to fly, but then I had to focus on the PMDG & Fenix and I forgot all about the Concorde. 😀

MSFS

Fenix A320

And if I had to add another: Milviz C310.

I don't care about any other planes, really.

On top of that we're all just sitting in a chair in our office or man caves hehe.  Not even A2A is that close to flying an actual aircraft.  Not everyone who sims has time for every little detail of preflight, flight, and post flight.

edit: lol my post did not age well.... as A2A just previewed their cockpit with new engine monitor.  I will agree that A2A, for GA, is probably the closest sim addon to real flying...but that it is still not like actual flying.  It's definitely closer than Carenado for example I'll give that other guy credit there.
