That's easy. Just buy a new system and you won't want to reinstall fsx. Thats what I did.

I'm in the middle of building a new rig - the last few bits are in the post right now. But I got a 1 TB M.2 for my Steam installation which includes FSX, so I'll be keeping in touch with it from time to time just for sentimental reasons. I won't be installing P3D on my new rig because of the licensing restrictions, but I won't be getting rid of my old rig either, so I'll still be able to have sentimental fun with it.

Like so many others here, FSX was a turning point for me back in 2006, and I don't want her ashes getting cold on me yet.

This is a new system I build last August expressly for MSFS.  I would provide a list of reasons why I installed FSX SE in September but I obviously I would be accused of trolling....

My local airport, KESN in MSFS.

Not always an option for some.

That’s what your msfs looks like??

Come to think of it - there is NOTHING but better visuals that MSFS has on X-Plane, really.

Is this your second job?

I think MSFS is really close now to blowing everything out of the water. Unlike other sims, stuff I can think of that still needs improvement or is missing is on the roadmap and they have proven to deliver. Even the flight model is almost there now and we're only one year into the public beta 😄

The life expectancy of my legacy sim install is quickly decreasing and I honestly hope Tuesdays update will speed up that process 😉

At my home airport of KESN.  Check it out on your own system.  There are several other GA airports I have found that suffer from the same malady.  And Asobo has not responded to support tickets other than the courtesy reply.  Now then, I am not going to repost a list of other major disappointments to preclude Jarmstro and others from calling me a troll.  But note from my message footer that weather is a significant part of my background.  And fully modeled avionics just behind.

I wouldn’t classify you as a troll.. but if that’s what your msfs looks like then something is truly wrong.

OK we all know you are a troll.

I have one problem with what you always spout:

Add in your opinion, don't state these falsehoods as facts. I always state this is my opinion only when I compare sims.

BTW, I use 4 screens with one as AirManager exactly as I did in X-plane. It looks the same in FS2020 as in X-plane. I used Nvidea surround in Xplane because using the multi screen option with different vies gave me a very low frame rate.

Also I have great playback in FS2020 using playground plugin.

I land on aircraft carriers using  a plugin.

There are helis available and soon there will be many more.

There are now smoke and water particle system effects like wet wheels making spray.

My local airports in New England are much more accurate then X-plane airports, and the Orbx or other plugin airports are right on.

Visibility can be set perfectly for me anyway, real wx is usually right on w/o a plugin even.

And the atmosphere w/o plugins is way better than the plugin versions in X-plane.

All these are my opinion only, just like yours are your opinions, but some are facts you just have wrong.

I used to post a lot in X-plane forums, but I stopped quite a while ago when I stopped using it. I was very enthusiastic about X-plane back then. But I quickly realized that members of these forums did not like me posting about the new FS2020. So I stopped.

If you only troll then please leave. At the very least add this is just your opinion...

I still haven’t uninstalled P3D yet even though i haven’t used it in about 5-6 months.  Really it’s only there in case I get an uncontrollable urge to fly a Q400 or something like that, however that hasn’t happened in a long time.  Just can’t go back at this point.  I’ve uninstalled all of my GA based addons to save space but anything airliner related remains for now.  I think I’m a full point release and a few got fixes behind now…would take some time just to get it up and running again, time I probably won’t have reason to invest.

That’s a strange one, I haven’t seen anything like that before, I’ll have to have a look.

You are not reading my post clearly. Once more! That is my local airport KESN and please provide a screen shot from your installation if that is not how it looks for you.  Understand?  Also take a look at KCTJ Carrollton, GA.  There are quite a number that suffer the same.  My home airport was a huge disappointment!  Weather as well, avionics as well, ATC as well, AWOS/ATIS? Totally embarrassing.  Nav data was sorely lacking. Depth of systems and modeling in aircraft...   So why did I reinstall FSX SE (FSX would not activate any longer)?

I am flying MSFS and spending time building a library for the promise of the future, so not trolling here.  But suggestions that FSX or P3D should be uninstalled or not freshly installed is not a fit for all of us, at this time.
