Flying the DCA RNP 19 in the new Working Title G1000 NXi

Recommended Posts

Coming very soon to a PC and XBox near you, the Early Access Working Title Garmin G1000 NXi. We decided to take the NXi for a spin on one of the most demanding approaches for an autopilot: the very snakey and very tight DCA RNP 19. In this video we highlight a bunch of the new features, such as fully coupled VNAV, RNAV with LPV, RF legs, the HSI moving map, and more.

We can't wait for everyone to get their hands on this thing!

Omgoodness! That looks amazing! I'm so glad WT is part of the team now. Without them we wouldn't have such a highly detailed and accurate simulation of these units in the sim! Hats off to them! Can't wait to use them in all my future flights!

Looks amazing... not shown in the video.. is the flightplan now auto-scrolling forward on the FPL page?

It isn't yet, but that's definitely planned.

Matt, posting this was a terrible mistake. Knowing the man-children of avsim, you'll be pestered every minute with "when is this coming out", "why isn't this out yet" posts. Ha ha. 😄

I think it's astonishing that this is going to be part of the base simulator package. Should greatly increase its viability as a training tool.

This new phenomenon puzzles me !

With MFS there came a few extraordinary FREEWARE projects that can easily make sometimes expensive addons blush ...

Wow !

WT are contracted to do work for Microsoft to bring better Avionics to MSFS.

It is of course super duper amazing, and it started as a freeware project, but I don't think it longer can be classified as a freeware project.

Yes @espent, but there are other examples, like, for instance, FBW A320 Neo...
