Very long loading times after SU5

Featured Replies

Same here, from yesterday I have got only one flight (as smoother as never), but loading times are a nightmare (now 20 minutes waiting and nothing ... )

Regards for everybody !

I don't understand the disparity in loading times. It is 10 seconds for me. It used to be about a minute before the update.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I had the same problem. Deleting the Navigraph In-Game Panel solved the problem.

Best regards,
Holger

I had EXTREMELY long load times.   I'm fairly certain that I resolved the problem by uninstalling  Air Worthy Designs TNCM.

I fixed the starting a flight problem. Deleted North/South Foliage package. Now If I can just get mouse to work properly.

For every MSFS update, rename your Community folder (MSFS creates a new Community folder if you rename the current one) and run some test flights. If everything is smooth and you don't CTD, exit MSFS, then delete the empty Community folder and change the renamed Community folder back to its original name.  If you have flights where you CTD, the flight won't start, or the game won't load to the menu, you have an add-on in your Community folder that is not compatible with the new update - then you have to figure out which add-on is breaking MSFS.

If your Community folder was empty but you still CTD or there are other major problems, it could be an add-on you purchased in the MSFS marketplace that is causing problems.  Then you need to try to isolate which add-on from the MSFS marketplace is breaking MSFS.

Vanilla MSFS is quite stable.  If you don't have faulty hardware for your computer and you didn't overclock any of your hardware, 99% of the time, it's an add-on that's probably breaking MSFS after an update.

Shorter load times by half here.  Still have a slow connection which is the primary limiter for load times.

same problem for me since the update. I used to boot the sim about 2-3 minutes and then world map to runway less than 1 minute. Now at least 10 minutes to boot the sim and havent been able to get to runway. Blue line goes to the end and then nothing. Cant start a flight. I have over a thousand pounds worth of hardware (excluding the pc) for the sim and its just sitting there. Asobo need to act fast on this as the update has really broken the load times and it appears many others experiencing the same problem

I get slower loading time from desktop to game menu, but faster loading time from World Map to cockpit, so overall the loading times are about the same for me.

Good catch. I removed the Bijan seasons from community and it loads now.

Yeah and I'm on HF2 now and Bijan's v6.05, and 3d Trees v2.0, still doesn't load.

Since SU5 sim loads much faster from my aging harddrive.

For me it was fast before the SU5 hotfix, but now it's slow after the hotfix.

CPU: 7800X3D | RAM: 64GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo CL32 | Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4090 OC

3:03 from first click to ready at runway in Xcub. FBW 320 takes a lot longer.

I feel it's faster with SU5

I9-14900K,  Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme  M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD

Same here; 30-35% reduction in load times for me since the su5; better overall fps which helps in VR.
