I’m a trackIR user and my settings are moderate given my PC specs and the lag is terrible when I move my head around. 
 

Im messing around with a sync and locking my FPS in an attempt to resolve the issue. Hopefully that helps a bit, but to be honest I’m really disappointed with my current experience compared to what I had before.

Well, I have to admit, as much as I like aspects of this update (the world map with satellite imagery and town names is a game -- sorry, sim -- changer for me), the first thing I noticed in the Cessna 172 is that the text around the panels is blurry. I struggled to read it. I wondered if it's because I've installed the free WT Garmin add-on from the marketplace. I don't know, just wondering whether, if anyone isn't seeing blurry text, have they not installed that Garmin add-on?

Did you try this setting in the UserCfg?

I would advise everybody to delete their User.cfg file and let the sim rebuild it. I did that and got rid of the slight blurriness that some are reporting. It also improved the gamma/saturation issue. You'll have to redo your graphics settings but that shouldn't be too hard since most of us can crank them all the way to the right now 😏

I'd also say to everyone ---- Delete your cache, reboot, etc... Try the basics first. But, good luck, you're going to need it.

That said, there are so many issues on the dev side I couldn't even begin to guess how many side effects are internally going to be exposed for pre-existing things and what this is causing to end users.

We now have approximately 30 breaking issues and counting from the DEV side. As new issues just reported, we have projected mesh corruption, inability to load old projects correctly, XML reader and validation problems, compile results not referencing textures correctly, texture mapping bugs in the XML, disappearing objects, missing 2nd runway now causes CTD, LOD issues not matching while in DEV mode to actual LOD, inverted texture maps (unknown cause), naming conventions bug, disappearing jetways, incorrect grass heights, inconsistent LOD of autogen, unexplained borders around aerial imagery that weren't there before, texture blending issue, object resizing issue not matching original scale.

And that folks is just stuff I found added recently in various threads of peoples issues with this update over the last couple of hours.

I don't alter the config file. Never have. I use the in-sim settings, and didn't have this issue in the prior version.

Also, I don't use a cache, another suggestion just now being to clear it.

I have always had all settings on ultra, never use motion blur...

Maybe I'll try deleting the config file, if I can find it (Steam version), in case something has got messed up. But it would seem unlikely. Everything else is super clear, just the text on the panels, which would be a texture, I'd have thought. Which is why I wonder if it's the Working Title Garmin add-on, if it replaces the display and panel completely. Will see if I can uninstall that add-on and check it then. I think that is the first thing I'll do -- whenever I get chance to load the sim back up.

Only two negative things I've noticed so far is that blurry panel text and CTDs. I only ever had two CTDs at launch, before I upgraded my RAM, then nothing since. Now it's happened on each flight, usually when I've been in the settings menu, altering things. But I've seen mention of a hot fix for CTDs, so will see what happens.

I have not seen them till now, but that is what mine looked like before SU5. I can read the heading indicator in his screen shot, I have to zoom in to see it on my panel. I would love to have it look like that again. I guess PMDG is seeing the same thing I am seeing.

That's the rumor, there are multiple CTD's in dev mode too at times. Also, CTD is more common right after the update, so clearing cache and rebooting may reduce CTD too (no idea). I've had a few random ones right after the airport loads (strange).
