Hotfix 1.18.14.0 is now live!

Featured Replies

Just did another test flight with the CJ4. Smooth as butter. No CTDs. AI is now working. Cranked up the LOD to 4 and oh boy does she look purdy. I am going to do a 4 to 5 hour flight today to shake it down a bit more but this version is really good - for me. Temps are low (70 C for both CPU and GPU) and everything is solid.

and thats why in my opinion the beta group should be bigger and even after that replicating every possible pc combo is nearly impossible , that some how is hard for some to understand .

The game engine and DirectX combined with Windows mostly encapsulates different configurations automatically, the issue is when you get bugs that encapsulation bubbles up the stack into varying configs. A lot of the issues are because they are tinkering with the internals of the game engine quite often.

Just did a PMDG DC6 flight from KBOS to KACK,6000 feet cloud surfing real weather, with ILS 24 to ack.No studders locked at 30fps,only issue was no taxi ribbon.

Very true !  Patiently waiting for update from Unreal Weather mod or REX Wx Force before VATSIM.  Have lost all faith in DEFAULT MSFS weather ! 🤢

It's my understanding that it is unfortunately impossible to mod the weather in FS11

For those seeing a smoother sim since the update, does that translate to taxiing as well ? That was always my biggest immersion killer on the ground. Can't update until my son gives me my computer back 😭

trust me that part i understand .But  I learned from real world experience in many different settings where increasing the amount of  pc setups has helped in a BIG way to resolve common issues .  Im sure its almost impossible to replicate what could change when a single change is presented to the unlimited  amount of changes we make to our personal installs .

Taxiing on ground with DC6, no studders.

It's probably mostly variations in the software, and there are a lot of tinkerers with Flight Sims that tend to edit config files and stuff. I agree they cannot be expected to obtain perfection and cover every base, though they could cover a lot more.

If you are flying at the VATSIM network, it is still not useable. The preasurebug is still there, and you are not able to keep a flightlevel.

What is this bug do regarding Vatsim?

Thanks. So you had studders before the update ?

I had hoped the Hotfix might bring back the GA Training Flights which have been missing from my sim since SU5, but sadly not.🤔
