And i can still run locked at 60fps , GPU load 90-98% It's weird how we all get different experiances. Hopefully this continues. Sounds like your on the right track Carl 🙂 Rich Sennett

July 30, 20214 yr I think part of the reason with the CTDs are that the sim is now optimized for Xbox with only two sets of hardware. On the PC side there are a million combinations of different hardware and software. July 30, 20214 yr So, I've done a couple of short test flights with the hotfix and this is what I've found: 1. The issue with the cursor disappearing has not been fixed so the sim is pretty much unflyable without loads of frustration and immersion busting changing of screens. 2. The clouds look ridiculous 3. The long pauses seem to have gone although short pauses or two or three seconds are still experienced from EGLC towards London along with much popping of scenery until very close. Higher frame rates around London though so I guess the constant popping of scenery is the price to pay for that. 4. More stuttering than before Update 5 5. Probably higher FPS without vsync in some places but also seem lower frames in other areas. 6. The white wing thing doesn't disappear (probably linked with the mouse issue). 7. The ability to have live AI traffic seems to have disappeared from the options So, overall, frustrating to fly, lower quality clouds, no AI Traffic, more stuttering, less immersion so not great. Hoping for another hotfix pronto to fix the mouse issue as that's a real issue.
July 30, 20214 yr Seeing all these problems and complaints around here it's like I'm running a completely different simulator, no CTD, big fps boost, perfect look, I just completed a nice flight across the Caribbean... even the menus are running better than ever . I feel sorry for someone who is having so much trouble. As information, after installing SU5 I had several CTDs so I remembered that I had disabled Windows Game Mode, after enabling it again I didn't have a single CTD. My only complaint is that my vacation ends next week...

I do wonder if the people with the issues tinker with too many settings on their computers like turning off windows game mode, hardware scheduling, overclocking etc. I keep everything at default unless absolutely necessary and rarely have any issues with most games. I make a point of not touching any settings unless I really need to. Wouldn't know how to OC if I tried! Still struggling with this new update though but no CTDs
